My view too. I am a Jayrod fan but I just haven't the time for a player if he just can't learn from what has happened in the last 4 months. If he goes then he'll look like a twat to the rest of the footballing world, being nursed back from a serious injury then wanting to go. If this happens, I won't be in the least surprised.
Unlike Liverpool however, Spurs won't double his wages. There'll be a 60%increase at most. Will that be enough to turn his head? it is, as ever in the modern game, all about money.
I hope that this start we have had will change his mind, however I have said for a while that I believe his head has been turned... Probably the moment he heard that song, afterall a cockney accent must make the words difficult to work out for a Lancashire lad!
Exactly. If they start "you'll never walk alone" they could get a new CB too... The scallies I know would be happy to move him on.
No idea whether Jay wants to go or not as he's kept quiet but I think he should stay until the summer to pay Saints back for all the medical/rehab he's had. Pretty poor to just jump ship as soon as you're fit again. Guess we'll find out what he's made of soon enough. He seems to take awhile to settle (start of Saints career and England )so he's unlikely to be an instant solution for anyone.
What amused me most looking on a Spurs forum yesterday (sorry) was the valuations of Jay. Apparently we'd be lucky to get an offer of £7.5 mill from them and happy to take it. I know all fans are biased but did they not see our last transfer window. They don't seem to rate J-Rod anyway, or anyone under £25 mill for that matter.
Unless he's left with a limp, why would they imagine we would be desperate to take it? Shows how much people know about other clubs. Went on the Stoke forum, Oatcake, and (whilst most seemed very nice, sensible and complimentary) one chap said we faded in the second half and he reckoned we'd be lucky to get 10 points from the 2nd half of the season....a few of the Stoke fans corrected him on that!
Didn't know their forum was called oatcake. I thought you were throwing random biscuits into the discussion. Hob nob.
And for good reason, as The Royals were formerly nicknamed The Biscuitmen, because of the great presence and influence of the huge Huntley & Palmer's biscuit making factory that used to operate in the town.
You mean the 'Ampshire 'Og roast. Not a lot of people know that the Hampshire Hog is actually a reference to a sheep or hogget and nothing to do with pigs. Stick with me, honey chile, and you will learn something (even if you don't want to).
