Mate I don't want to get into it all again - I just agree with what he's saying here, the legal team let him down. Taking a step back, he shouldn't have ever got himself in a situation were he needed a legal team, but he did and I'm guessing it may not be the last time, all that aside, the club's lawyers let him down.

“And he looked towards Sir Alex Ferguson to see if Daddy was watching. If it was a trap, I fell into it.”

Yeah, and of course the serialisation that has been sold to the British press is nothing to do with him, neither is the section of the autobiography in which he discusses the issue I suppose, nor the obvious fact that the section would be highlighted bigtime in the British serialisation.............

No, he's not 'bringing it up' at all is he....................<doh>

If you were right then why did Evra lie? He said that he could "never bring himself to use that word" whereas there is proof of him using it! Why did Evra begin the whole thing by using an insult that was not in his own langauge and would be found to be disgusting if it were said in English? Evra was very far from being a victim. So if Suarez is a "complete sub-human" then so is Evra.

As for the handshake then I agree with Suarez is his interpretation. Both Suarez and Evra are ****s but we've got rid of ours whereas many United supporters are still in denial.

What has any of that got to do with what I've posted? Was Evra being racist? Do you understand the difference?

Go back and actually read what I've written about WHY he's a sub-human. Who said what has nothing to do with it.

Dave is pointing out that your comment 'he never had the humility to understand how someone who wasn't from South America might find it offensive' is completely negated by the fact that Evra is on video using this word 'he might find offensive' - he obviously doesn't find it offensive does he or he wouldn't use it himself.

Was Evra being racist you say, quite likely he was as he even cared enough about getting his insult fully understood by using the Spanish colloquialism for ***** [a woman of ill repute] directed at Suarez family. Not a black/white racism but racism and sexism all rolled into one. Anyway this has been done enough.

Calm down. It's his autobiography, and it's hardly condemning us. Move along now

This is why these debates are a waste of time. Why cut bits out of my post and miss the point completely. I'll say it again, I couldn't give a **** about who said what. I'll even concede that Suarez truly believes he wasn't being racist. How's that? I'll even admit Evra wasn't a saint in all this and was being abusive. Fair enough? BUT only one person was charged mate. How he handled that AND continues to deal with it shows his character. The fact some liverpool fans continue to split hairs over a case that's been done and dusted is irrelevant to what I'm saying (although some have understood what I'm getting at).

    say what!

maybe, just maybe, if Evra as he should have been for his disgusting comments in all this had been charged as well, he wouldn't have felt as victimized would he, both parties were fecking wrong, not just one!

Evra ever had the balls to say that to me about my sister he would have a lot more to deal with than petty racism!

it stunk of the fa making an example of him, same as terry even though he was found not guilty in court of law (doesn't apply to the fa though does it, only internal racism is allowed as far as they are concerned and gets shoved under the carpet)

Find it funny how the Echo headline is that the club could have done more but Suarez's actual quote is:

In 2012 when the club seemed to be sacking everyone Comolli, Brukner, Cotton [Head of Communications] etc. it was felt that Ayre was next in line as the owners were angry over the Suarez case and how it was handled. This was written at the time:

''In particular, the owners feel that no expense should have been spared in hiring the best lawyers with expertise in race relations to put the Uruguayan's case to an independent FA commission. The club used solicitors McCormicks - experts in sport, media and entertainment law - to represent Suarez ....''

It all goes along with what Suarez is claiming.

Mate I may have missed the main point of what you were saying because it wasn't obvious. You hid it well in your own post when you used incorrect assertions about what one side of the party may find offensive! If you mean Suarez continuing to vilify Evra [?] he has every right to. Would you let it go if someone accused you of something that you didn't do? None of us actually know what all was said or what intentions were meant. The FA cocked up big time on, they should have either dismissed it as a 'he said, he said' and given them both a warning for inappropriate language or sanctioned them both.

Edit: I see jenners has said almost the same as me.
