I see Suarez's autobiography is keeping up the pretence that Uruguayans speak a completely different version of Spanish to the rest of the Spanish-speaking world.
Goofy is the kind of bloke who will forever be in denial of his true nature. I heard one report that he's taken counselling for his biting, and that he's claiming he's now cured. But that's exactly what he said the time before. He's a ticking bomb, just as is Balotelli.
It's very difficult to comment. As was discussed at the time, it's all about the context. Only two people know that. But I suspect Suarez's use of the word was not complimentary in the circumstances.
Indeed. Goofy doesn't strike me as someone who is particularly well-disposed towards opposition players. Any man who is prepared to bite another player probably is not the kind of man who would think twice about uttering a racial slur.
Well played Charlie Austin. From a building site to the PL and two goals tonight make it 106 goals in 200 senior football appearances. Two quality finishes tonight. Rangers 2 Villa 0.
Vlaar's a decent defender, but a lot of their other players are pretty mediocre. I probably shouldn't say that just before we play them, though! Guzan's a good keeper, as virtually all of them in the Premier League are nowdays, Benteke's very good when he's fit and there are a few others who are decent. Most of their players are either youngsters with potential or slightly dodgy older players, though. They have been on a tough run, to be fair to Lambert. Not many sides would pick up much from Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea and Everton back-to-back.
Bale's made the Ballon d'Or shortlist of 23 this year. Suarez hasn't, due to his ban. The whole process might be quicker if they only selected players from Real, Barca and Bayern. That's what they want to do, anyway. There are no current Atletico players on there, despite the fact that they reached the Champions League final and won La Liga. Four Barca players make the selection though, as they won **** all.
Redknapp clearly wasn't happy with one journalist, making his point to him in the post-match press conference, before getting caught making it even more clearly as he walked off! Absolute load of ****e! Sounds about right for what passes as sports journalism now.
Truly amazed Koke didn't make it onto the list. He assisted a **** load for Atleti in a season that they excelled in.
Costa played for them no? Yeah he's not there any more but he's their representative. Oh, you said current, my bad
Just also noticed no Godin!!! (I know PNP mentioned no current players but Godin skipped my thoughts until now), that guy was the best CB in Europe last season, not only was he instrumental for Atleti winning the league but it was his header that sealed the title for them AND he scored in the CL final.
Courtois played for them too and he makes the list. What do both of those players have in common? On an unrelated note, Hazard is the only player that spent last season in the Premier League to make the list that hasn't played for Barcelona. Zabaleta doesn't make the list, but Ramos does, despite being sent off three times, being **** for Spain and coming third in the league.
