I had the same , here's what I (and it worked) Click on that little star in the top right corner , then Internet options, then 'advanced box' , then the 'reset' button , then tick the box 'delete personal settings' . Ok , worked for me.
Now I'm back on a pc I can see what I did. If you open Internet Explorer, click on the tool icon top right. Choose internet options, connections, click on LAN settings and then tick the Automatically Detect Settings box, then OK and close. Mine had gone to Use A Proxy Setting after I had run a scan, no idea why.
