You were probably looking out for a yellow one, this was a blue one, came on the pitch with about 25 mins left
Ok devil, you have converted me when Astro never could. So, if Chelsea are supposed to be the standout team in the league and champions elect, where do the stats leave us
Probably the best match under LVG but still not there yet. You could sense that there is still about 50% to come but while the result is not the sort acceptable at OT the performance is getting better by the match. The chavs have steamrollered most teams but at OT Most would agree that united gave them a game. All very promising. The hope for better things is still on with LVG.
We didn't just give them a game, we were marginally the better team and created far more chances. Only Hazard out of their world famous midfielders managed to get into the game. Fabregas was bossed out of it by Blind and Fellaini.
He's always been a flop at Old Trafford, going back to his first performance iirc in a Carling Cup game, and ofcourse the day we stopped their 49 unbeaten run. In fact I'm struggling to remember any truly good game he's had against us.
Has he lived up to his potential? I thought he could have emulated Scholes, but he's peaked at a level far below. At club level he's won one FA Cup, the Spanish equivalent, and one La Liga title. I'm surprised tbh.
He's a good player but not top class and often disappears in big games. Barca are his hometown club and they couldn't get rid fast enough. His mentor didn't want him back.
Did anyone see Jose's totally illogical rant on MOTD2? As months go by he talks more and more nonsense, and even is starting to have the appearance of a candidate ready for the straight jacket and a permanent move to a padded cell in the funny farm. No wonder he lost both the dressing room and the plot at Real Madrid
This. Fabregas, much like Arsenal since 2004, has always been a flat track bully first and foremost. He'll dominate midfield against weaker teams, provided he has someone like Matic to do all the donkey work, but the good teams will always work out how to deal with him.
He's become more and more miserable. Btw everyone is analysing Ivan's sending off before the free-kick we equalised. I wish they'd do the same for the penalty appeal in the first half. It wasn't a free-kick to begin with so justice done in the end.
We have had a fair dodgy penalty decisions against us at Stamford Bridge, so maybe that evened it up. One that springs to mind was Carrick's so called hand ball when the ball was hit directly at him with less than 5 mins left on the clock.
The way United players, staff and fans celebrated the equalizer was like they had won the title haha. Massive compliment to us. Good luck next week at the Etihad where you will defo need it.
When you score an equalizer in the PL with 15 seconds left on the clock you celebrate regardless of the opposition.
