Game of the season. Probably a fair result but we could have won or lost just as easily. 1st half we were brilliant. Dragged chelsea apart and could have been a goal up. Chelsea will consider us the best side they have played.
Nice to see us play for a full 90 mins for a while. Thought some of the cards were a bit cheap (it is a contact sport still), as it wasn`t a particularly dirty game. Both keepers pulled off a few good saves and we got off a bit lucky with the peno decision. Thought a draw was a fair reflection of the game.
I thought Matic could have got Chelsea`s MOM today, he seemed to be everywhere and involved in everything.
The double team tag head locks were pretty funny. Quite amazing the ref missed both I agree though, overall a fair result. Mourinho's anti-football backfired. They had you against the ropes and he tactically got it all wrong at the end.
Matic did play well as did a few other players. Hard to pick a MotM from either team, both teams bossed at times.
Very very good performance considering what I was expecting before the match. I always knew we had the attack to create chances but I was worried as fck about being over run at the back but that never really happened. Some special mentions to Fellaini (two very good performances, he and LVG deserve credit for that), Januzaj was more like his old self from last season, and Shaw's best game so far - feeling more confident about our new fullback. All in all with the line up we had starting, we did very well and the stats show that! Now, let's get Rooney, Falcao, Herrera and Carrick back, let's keep up that defensive performance and let's go one better at the Etihad next week
The encouraging thing is we are playing better with each game. There will be blips, maybe one next week, but it's good to see a gradual improvement which wasn't the case last season. Fabregas has bossed it this season but wasn't allowed to get into the game. Di Maria had a stinker today though!
You don't get many chances against a team like Chelsea, he shouldn't have taken that one for granted in the first 10 mins or so. Couldn't believe he didn't put that away.
Chelsea got what they deserved after they parked the bus and when they're players went down every time we had a free kick.
Wouldn't go that far, City & Palace were a lot tougher. United were really good today though and I'd say a draw was probably a fair result, was a bit like the City game, we rarely attacked, nicked a goal and then tried to held on and got what we deserved, i mean bringing Mikel on at 60 mins and attempting to shut up shop? You are asking to concede, thought everyone in our team bar Courtois ,Hazard, Drogba and Matic were **** today, Annoying the way we lost the 2 pts by a di maria dive and dodgy dowd decision but on the face of the game we didn't deserve the win. Point away to United without our 1st & 2nd choice striker is still a good result and we extended the gap to our only other title challenge by one point so all in all a good weekend! Already said that this was another improvement for United. Di Maria had an off game, but can't have a go, as so far he has been brilliant. A draw was just about a fair result, if only to kick Jose in the bollocks for playing negative football. said it before, and will say it again, thank goodness we never offered him the job. United's tradition is attacking football, whether under Sir Matt or SAF. All the other managers never got near that attacking greatness, but at least LVG is trying that system.
