After an excellent October in which we stayed unbeaten, 2 draws and a win we go into November with 4 fixtures two home and two away. Hull City v Southampton Sat 1 Nov 15:00 Draw 2-2 Burnley v Hull City Sat 8 Nov 15:00 Win 0-2 Hull City v Tottenham Sun 23 Nov 16:00 Draw 1-1 Man Utd v Hull City Sat 29 Nov 15:00 Loss 3-1 6 or 7 points would be a good total from those games. I'm going for 5 points.
If I could predict or gamble on forthcoming results it would be a miracle, I once bet, on a friends advice, on a 2 horse race, the fave and yes I lost it is not a joke although it has become one. I use to think I was good at the subject of football in general but in course of doing the old football coupons for 20 years or so, where the agent use to come round to your house, I won 64p and I still have the cheque from Littlewoods, me and betting or predicting are a definite no no.
If you don't know someone involved in horse racing, who can give you 'tips' shall we call them, you could bet on a one horse race and lose. It's all frigging rigged to manipulate handicaps etc for the big races and to stretch the odds long on a real good horse who's eventually let loose properly for the owner and his mates to cash in big time from the bookies.
Even though it may be setting sights low, Iâd actually take 4 pts â if three of those came from Burnley away. I think Burnley will see us as a big chance for three points, so hopefully theyâll open up a bit against us, which will play into our hands. The thing is, we are capable of going unbeaten in that month, but first and foremost, survival is the key and beating a relegation rival away would be a massive boost to that.
Burnley for me is a must win, Man U is a hope we win but I expect to lose, Southampton if we get a point I'll be thrilled but I expect nowt, I expect nothing off Spurs.
5 points would be great, and 4 acceptable, as others have said as long as we come away with something at Burnley.
From the 4 games under 3 points would be a disaster, 3-4 great and 5 or more excellent. Our aim is still 17th place and the mythical 40 point target. Maintaining above a point per game is key
Hull City v Southampton Sat 1 Nov 15:00 Draw 2-2 Burnley v Hull City Sat 8 Nov 15:00 Win 0-2 Hull City v Tottenham Sun 23 Nov 16:00 Win 2-1 Man Utd v Hull City Sat 29 Nov 15:00 Win 1-2 Tottenham looked disinterested (or tired) against Newcastle today. Man U's defence is suspect. Burnley can't score...certainly not against our defence. I'll be happy with a point next Saturday. 10 points should move us up the table.
The Saints march is over. Home advantage is our strength. Another 5 days or so, for Injured players to re- cuperate will help. I say We , should fear no team....
We always seem to do terrible in November, don't know why, the only decent November I recall off the top of my head was when we beat Everton 3-2 & drew 3-3 with Wet Spam!
