Agreed - unfortunately, we have to just ride this out I think. Changing will not give us instant results. @ Thor - what are you expecting from an average side out of interest?
And from what I've heard, it won't be unjustified. Apparently we had 81% possession in the first half (or near enough) - only to be 1-0 up. That's unacceptable.
We look like a rudderless ship - on and off the pitch: no leadership!! That was disgraceful and we are carrying so much lightweight ****.
Well wasn't that a huge case of over confidence after Thursday? The team probably thought they'd win it easily and bingo. This is slowly chipping away at my fortitude.
On this evidence and other recent results, this team will struggle to finish in the top half. Flat, lacking any invention, shoddy at the back, no leadership.
Dear Mr. Levy... your time is up. Please go now for the sake of our football club whilst you still have some dignity.
What a clueless, sloppy second half that was. A couple of really ordinary changes by Pardew and we went to bits. Pochettino's got to hold his hands up for this one, for me. Played people unnecessarily in the week and they were crap today, without exception. Dier's knackered, Capoue was miles off his game, Lamela was extremely poor, Vertonghen was weak and I don't think Lloris made a save. The pressure will be on the manager now, despite it being very early days. He needs to stop using such a narrow side. One fullback not going forward is fine, as long as the team's balanced out. This one clearly isn't. Midweek game against Brighton's very important now. Sweeping changes and he has to leave out Dier.
We are bang average...we will remain so until a manager is given 2 yrs to assemble his own team...redknapp and jol got that...and imo were both wrongly sacked and replaced with the latest fad...poch must be given until may 2016 as a MINIMUM imo but I know I am in the minority
