Ameobi's running at Dier all the time now. Lamela's not offering him any cover and the pace difference is noticeable.
    Sensible change by Pardew, unfortunately.

Nice pass by Rose to Eriksen, who hits a defender. Probably should've done better, but a nice move.

1-2, Perez. More **** defending as two players come to deal with Sissoko and he puts the ball wide to an offside Cabella, who picks out his man.

It's not over yet but I posted yesterday about caution and five goals being out of sync, back to normal, Euro hangover. There's still time though.

Before that goal we looked shaken and like our confidence was taken down a peg. Too many out there look like they won't work when things start going against them.

We won't win this unless Pochettino makes some seriously effective subs.

How can we have an hangover from Thursday? Half this lot didn't play. This display is inexcusable!

He's seen where our side's weak and he's exploited it. Can't argue with that, despite their dire first half.
We didn't take advantage of our superiority and let them back in it.

It's a hangover in the sense that Lamela sounds like the worst player on the pitch - clearly his wondergoal has gone to his head.

    Capoue in the book needlessly.
Then Taylor stops play as we're on the attack to give a nothing foul. <doh>

Lamela may be playing cack...but we are defending like children. .. we have made Newcastle look potent ... without their best attacking player...until our defence is sorted we will continue to be this inconsistent.

we alsi need to sort out this stupid attitude to playing after europa matches.

Lamela needs to learn basic pass and move and decisiveness. One goal means jack ****.

Cabella strolls around Capoue in the box and tries a really silly shot.
We're all over the place at the back now. Really poor.

Lamela opened his mouth saying he's going to take the PL by storm after his goals...........fatal. Poch under pressure unless we win this.

Kane on for Capoue. No idea what that's going to do to our shape.

Linesman flags our corner for going behind, as it's put into the net by Krul.
    Good call, apparently.

Kane forces Krul into an easy save from a cross by Rose.
We've only got one wide man and he's a fullback.
