Brady Bruce Diame Plenty of others worthy of mention but particularly nice to see Livermore's form seemingly returning.
Great effort by everyone under the circumstances - away at Anfield and three major players out injured. I must have watched a different game as there was a bloke called Ben Arfa playing in the game I watched and nobody has mentioned him. Brady and Bruce more than held their own against multi-million quid opponents whilst Jak made a solid performance. Some great passing sequences between our blokes which showed the potential we have. Good result - good point.
Ben Arfa is our Balotelli without the massive transfer fee, a bit of a luxury player but he did work as hard as I've seen him, not near enough to the MOTM standard though. My top three are 1.Jakupovic. Going to Anfield and keeping a clean sheet with hardly any experience or game time behind him is an outstanding effort for a goalie 2.Bruce. Again, not played much which shows what a great performance and effort he put in. 3.Brady. Same reasons as the others, hardly played but was immaculate and even got mentioned by Ruud Gullitt on MOTD, an all time legend of the game
Unfortunately I was working so didn't get to watch the game. Was Brady really good enough to keep Andy out? How was Ben Arfa, as that is the position Brady could be moved to if Brucey wanted both Brady and Robbo on at the same time?
1./ Diame 2./ Jako 3./ Brady Isn't it great, that when we have injuries, we have some quality to cover.
I didn't select a 'top three' because there were no real stand-outs as they are starting to work as a 'team'. Some of the first touch passing down the right totally outshone Liverpool. Balotelli doesn't seem to do much work but you wouldn't want to let him have any space as he'd put the ball away in a flash. Credit to Bruce to containing him.
Good comments. Ben Arfa showed flashes of his amazing talent...like when he went past the Liverpool defenders as if they were standing still with an amazing burst of speed and then laid the ball back perfectly for Livermore to shoot ...unfortunately he hit it right at Mignolet. He just needs to be more involved in the game. Bruce and Jak were both outstanding along with the whole defence. Brady deserves more playing time but where to play him. Robertson is such an incredible attacking talent but Brady is much better defensively...tough decision for Bruce. Maybe play Brady as wing back against Southampton and the likes of Chelsea who throw a lot of players forward and Robbie against the mid to lower level teams. Jak I've already made my opinions clear on here for some time. He was truly outstanding today. Should be Greegsys back up at least.
Jak Brady Bruce Given all 3 have played fewer minutes than most in the premier league, they didn't half step in well at Anfield away no less.....
