Paul McShane ‏@pmacca15 35s And not a bad performance by the lads at Anfield today also!! Drink till you see Jesus tonight Hull, it's been a good day for the city! Legend. Hero Hull deserves, but not the one it needs right now.
My point is that there were complaints that they would both take fans off each other, then add Coyle Vs Campbell into the mix (If the FA cup happened obviously).
The thing is, your point is technically pointless until KR vs FC is confirmed for the 30th, or if City got to the Cup final. FC vs KR could happen on the Sunday.
It hasn't been confirmed that it will be a Hull Derby or that either side will play on the Saturday though that's what everyone expects to happen. I'd be disappointed to miss the fight but unless City get to the Cup Final then I'm sure it'll be the rugby in the afternoon then the boxing in a Newcastle boozer.
James Smailes ‏@James_Smailes 1m1 minute ago Had a word with Eddie Hearn to remind him of Magic fixture, he said KC suggested May 30 date and it's not set in stone for Luke v Tommy
I imagine the KC WOULD of mentioned that date as it's easy for them as they know for certain it's free.
Well done to both the hull lads, luke campbell was very classy, excellent speed, brizuella was no walk over yet luke just stood at distance and picked him off. As for tommy coyle I really thought he'd struggle against katsidis, excellent left hook for the ko, well done tommy I really think if this coyle campbell fight happens, csmpbell will come out on top, he's a diff class in my opinion All round good day for hull UTT
Brilliant fights, Campbell was in charge from start to finish and that punch from Tommy was exceptional.
Listen up knobheads ...this is a football forum....not a forum for a egg chasing or the equally ridiculous 'sport ' of boxing
**** been stop I fully expect you from now on to post the same sort of post in every non-football thread. I mean, you could just ignore them like a normal person, but why do that when you can act like an idiot?
Eddie Hearn plans Tommy Coyle v Luke Campbell 'mega-show' in Hull next year please log in to view this image Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn says it is now inevitable Luke Campbell and Tommy Coyle will meet in a mega-show in Hull next year. Hearn has revealed he has already held talks with representatives of both the KC Stadium and the KC Lightstream Stadium about hosting the biggest boxing event the city has ever seen. However, there are concerns from some fans after it was revealed May 30 is being considered as the date for the lightweight fight, the same day as rugby league's Magic Weekend kicks off in Newcastle. Hearn says the date is not set in stone, but what is certain is Campbell and Coyle will meet in a contest that could propel the winner toward a world title fight. "I never like matching my own fighters but this is too big an opportunity for it not to go ahead," Hearn told the Mail. "They both think they can win the fight, but they both also have huge respect for each other and that is great for the city. Ultimately the winner of these two will go on and fight for a world title. "We have discussed May 30 with the KC Stadium, but we're not sold on that, it is just the date we were asked to take by the KC. "To go to the KC we only have a very limited window, whereas Hull KR can accommodate us in a bigger window and I have no problem going back there at all. "They treated us fantastically last time and they have a new stand which will increase capacity. It won't be 30,000 like we'd get at the KC Stadium, but we have no problem dealing with Hull KR again." Representatives from the Stadium Management Company (SMC) have offered Hearn a May 30 date due to scheduled work to be done to the KC pitch next summer. However, with Hearn's Matchroom Boxing operations unwilling to clash with a derby, and possibly see both suffer as a result, he will wait until the Magic Weekend fixtures are announced next month before further discussions are held. Campbell made a statement of intent Saturday, taking only five rounds to stop Daniel Brizuela, while Coyle stopped Michael Katsidis in the second round. http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Eddi...tory-23601639-detail/story.html#ixzz3HLGe7Dk4
