I'll save the Hashtag Kid the trouble by pointing out that Rodgers has accrued as many points in the first 9 games as Moyes did last season. Obviously Rodgers has the advantage of this being his third season in charge so this is very much his team.

I'll also save Hashtag the trouble by pointing out that when United inevitably lose to Chelsea tomorrow, LVG (#tacticalgenius) will have made a worse start than Moyes.

"If the right manager became available at this point I would jump at the chance of replacing Rodgers I think our owners may be of the same opinion."

Seriously?

****ing knee jerk or what, we're 6th, and this with a ****ing shocking defence and attack. Rodgers has made some big errors, but that is a ridiculous statement

No your not we are 6th lol

I think some of the problems have to be blamed on the owners to be honest.

Their policy of signing less established/younger players has left us with a situation where we have a really inexperienced squad that makes naive mistakes regularly.

Just like to point out that Chelsea have Ivanovic (30), Terry (33), Cahill (28) & Azpilicueta (25) as their first choice back 4. Out of the first choice defenders Rodgers has signed, the most experienced was 25, the same age as Chelsea's least experienced one.

Really? Lambert was 32 so they obviously have no issue with him signing older players if he wants.

Blaming the owners for him spunking £230m is f**ing priceless <laugh>

Because that's exactly what I said.

You f**ing spastic.

To be fair to Brenda, Suarez has gone and Sturridge has/will be out for the best part of two months. Of course you are going to struggle.

don't think the owners can be faulted

we tried to buy Costa - he said no
same with Mkhitarian and Willian and Salah

we've been directly linked and have bought players who don't fit this supposed model. It's a preference that, when possible, buy younger. It's not a commandment written in stone and it obviously isn't the most important factor to them.

With Sturridge being a bit injury prone Rodgers put his faith in Balotelli that is turning out to be a huge mistake. We should if we can get that Origi fella in off loan.

This is where I have no sympathy for him, as we all knew it was an idiotic decision to sign him.

Out of interest, who would you want to replace him?

I wasn't really thinking of replacing him and have no idea who I would want I was just letting the thoughts that cross my mind now and then come to the front. They should be locked away and I'm quite relieved that it's gone ok.

It was exactly what you said, you bell end.

C'mon fellas I haven't been lynched yet for posting this so no need to fight.

I'm glad it's been a fairly sensible thread I wasn't on the wum as has been suggested but just putting my worst fears out there and seeing what others think.

I really hope Rodgers can turn it around and I don't think there's a lot wrong with the squad, fingers crossed we can string a couple of wins together and all the doubt goes away, we will certainly see over the coming weeks.

Excellent thread luv. Just have the balls and say it that you think he is **** and got lucky last season. We won't castrate you for it.

In the opening thread you go from saying you hope he sorts it out the. Say you'd be in for a top manager if one was available.

I personally like Brenda. I love listening to him everyday on talksport especially. Long may this continue.

For the record I fully expect us to get dicked tomoro <ok>

There was a thread for that. :D

He's a good manager who needs the right support and the right advice at this point in his career, I hope the right people are there to do just that.
