According to the Independant if/when Adel is sold Spurs are entitled to a 40% sell on payment as part of his move to Rangers, £13.5m does not look so attractive now, taking away the initial £1m that would net spurs another £5m, great bit of buisness from dear old uncle Harry

It's been quoted all over the place since Adel started angling for a move. 'Arry was covering all bases...

I don't think it was that bad a piece of business, where would you get a player of that talent for £600k with it rising to £1 million with promotion? He was the catalyst for our season and whatever you think of him we wouldn't have gone up without him. To give 40% of the fee as a sell on may sound steep but the clear profit from the promotion means we got the best of the deal. I think we might even manage £15 million if PSG are determined which would leave us with £9 million hopefully to strengthen the squad. Only a takeover is likely to stop him leaving.

Too right. We would only have been playoffs at best without him.

I still think we should try to hang on to him, it will be our best chance to stay up.

I actually heard about this when we signed him. But it to be fair it was the only way we were going to get him at the price we did and it was money well spent, even with the 40% sell on clause we will make money on the transfer and not to mention the money for promotion which Adel pretty much achieved for us.

We were the only party in town, 40% sounds a bit high to me.
But I see your point, still a good deal.

All Adel has to do is have 1 barnstorming season for us it is only 38 games and 9 month's then his value rockets, his earning potential rockets and the truly big clubs come calling, Why would you consider going to a Paris ****hole where to be fair you wouldn't receive as much time in the spotlight.

Taarabt is incredibly immature and his head is easily turned. I wouldn't be surprised if PSG massage his he ego enough for him to demand a move!!!

If or is it when Adel does go, and you are given £9 mill to spend, where would you spend it?
I would go for Nicky maynard £4 mill, Kyle Naughton £2.5 mill, Ridgewell £2.5 (although that could cost a little bit more)

Even better piece of business from Uncle Nelly. 1 season that catapulted us to promotion and around 8m profit.
