Hobbs has a half decent jumping machine there in Sausalito Sunrise. Very surefooted for a novice throughout...
Lucky William? Rated 143, 3 years off, presumably injured, and comes back rated 145 - not THAT lucky then!
Nice hour or so for the Whateley's ........................ bloody hell how good was Wishfull Thinking there?
Well done to whoever backed Wishfull Thinking in the Old Roan Chase at Aintree! What a leap at the last and a decent SP he was too! Can only guess AP has gone to Chepstow to ride Son Du Berlais in the 3.35.
Not sure what to think of the Uxizandre run, he jumped really well but never was really put into the firing line, and couldn't live with the pace of Wishfull Thinking. I wonder if they left something on him thinking of a trip to Cheltenham for the Paddy Power? Strange.
I would struggle to see it too, however cheekpieces on he might have a chance to improve past that effort.
I'm a big believer in some horses do the Cheltenham hill better than others and his JLT finish just sticks in my head. Possibly I'm being hugely harsh on the horse but I do prefer him on flatter tracks and the fact he was beaten today on one suggests to me he'll fall short of the top table. I slightly query his Aintree form last spring too. I'll stop now
Oh dear Son Du Berlais never looked happy on the ground today, so the Persian War continues to elude the forum's favourite trainer. Well done Blaklion backers
Typical Was all over Blaklion at Chelts last Friday when he was withdrawn at the start, deserted him today for Nicky's pull up job Horses, eh
Well done tward and anyone else on him. Shouldn't have deserted him, was put off due to him being withdrawn on vet's advice last Friday. Did it ever come out what was wrong with the horse? Not bleeding much looking at today
