I am not tarring anyone, I'm just saying no-one should be watching the kids train, its a time of learning. And at that age, they don't need the added pressure of anyone watching, whether it be their own parents, parents of other kids playing. That's pressure they don't need whilst training.

Training should be a totally relaxed environment IMO, the kids and the coaches, and that's it.

you cant stop parents from supporting their kids at any sport but they must be aware that certain behavior will not be tolerated and if it persists then the child of the parent should leave the field and not return until the parent understands that their behavior must improve...Its tough on the kid but its the only way that parents will be allowed to watch their kids perform......A child will want his parent there as much as the parent wants to see their child play so you can't ban the parent on the grounds of how the child will feel...

I beg to differ Dai, when I was a kid, I hated it when my parents were there watching.

Parents don't watch the kids in a class room at school - why should they watch them at a coaching session. Matches yes - class no.

Having coached junior teams, it makes for a more focused session when kids are not looking around for their parents and parents are not there doing anything other sitting in their cars waiting for it to end.

Equating hovering presence with having or taking an interest is I think the problem. My parents didn't have to be at every activity I participated in unless they had to drive me - if I could walk, or bike, or take a bus then they were not there - that's not any indication of a lack of interest just mindfulness on their part that they didn't have to be ever present and that giving me space and independence was a good thing. Performances were another matter - when an activity was a "performance" they were there as should be expected.

It's not only about what the parents do while at the activity, it's also about what they do after the activity .... effectively their own "coaching" - well meaning, but depending on the manner of it, not always the most helpful.

A rich foreigner with more money than most people in the world decides that due to the swans being ripe for plundering he wants to buy the club as his new play thing, offering to put squill ions into the club ! Nothing to do with re-branding etc my question is if he offered the guys on the board a minimum of say £7,000,000 each for their share in the club do you think they would sell ? If not how about for more ? I would sorry would you ?

English football clubs could learn a lot from the two clubs from Wales , they incorperate the extremes of all that is good and bad in club football .If anything the rank anf file should wrestle more shares into the fold while the other club from Wales dance through hoops to get more money without a thought pf reprecussions.

I know some on our board would consider £7 Million as peanuts, Martin Morgan and Katzen spring to mind, but Swansea City FC, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Swansea City Football 2002 Limited. Any Ltd company can be vulnerable to a take over, and I see ours at around £100 Million +, whether the fans 20% can be bought is doubtful, and could be a sticking point of any takeover, most wealth individuals or institutions are 'Greedy', and sharing 20% could be an issue for most, but maybe not all, anyway I don't see the need to rush this issue, seems to me that all we need is a serious commercial sales director, rather than a sugar daddy, we are on the threshold of a global brand that needs some serious thought placed into it's future development of other income streams.

Man United made a success around the Globe long before those Yanks got their dirty fingers on them!..............<ok>

As long as its agreed no change of colours and name, plus no slippery characters the extra millions could be useful. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Pretty sure that our board will apply the same logic that they use when hiring a manager. Look through the bullshit and get the person that's best for the club.

Like any manager, a new owner can say everything that the board wants to hear, but our board a pretty good at seeing through the rubbish. I think we can rest assured that if there is a takeover, it will be the right guy, and there will be a fail-safe in the deal.

If they won't agree to those terms, then I doubt they'll be taking over Swansea City AFC.

Here`s a wild idea ! serious big buck investors welcome with long term investment plan "priority". Must put money where mouth is with £6 million upfront of which £2m of it will be released if the swans ever drop to championship the rest if we drop to lower leagues in years to come. But ring fenced in iron clad contract as use for player purchase and wages of players only.

That should sort the chancers from the serious investors ?

Or..... A mega billionaire who side steps FIFA rules by buying the Swans and instead of creating a parent company like happened with Man City and Chelsea, he puts a whopping one thousand million (a cool billion) directly into the Swans bank account as a donation and the club happily lives off the extremely ridiculous hourly calculated interest <laugh>

    I'd pick Apple.

The stadium can then be called "The Apple Bowl" :)
