Picking out some keys points from this conversation, doesn't inspire me at all!

    * It`s a little bit slow at the moment.

    * It`s a quiet market out there at this moment in time

    * we are waiting to see what we can do within the framework of our budget.

    * People have to remain patient and hopefully in the next ten days

    * people are expecting us to have brought in four or five new players already.

Now correct me if i'm wrong, i'm pretty convinced the market is better than it ever has been! especially when alot of good championship players are there for the taking.

Framework of our budget - To me that means peanuts!! That also means we cant go out and get who we want in this div. Its a catch 22, we don't spend much on wages nor do we like to pay a fee! So how do you expect us to bring in better if the club cant comply with the fans expectations.

But don't panic lads - because when tinsel town is finished around the ground, we can all stare at a hotel most leeds fans won't be able to afford to stop in/nor would anybody care to stick around, especially when a walk to the leeds city centre offers so much more lifestyle with Bars/restaurants/Hotels/shopping.

The only positive for me is the museum - i can imagine it would be decent, but its not going to be free admin i assume.

    Heres the article -

Simon Grayson is asking for fans to remain patient as he looks to build his side for the 2011/12 season.

The players returned to training yesterday with just one new face in the squad, goalkeeper Paul Rachubka signed last week after being released by Blackpool at the end of the season.

Leeds fans have started to get anxious, with questions asked about the ambitions of those within the club, Grayson asks people to remain patient.

Speaking on the Yorkshire TV Calendar website Grayson said, "It`s a little bit slow at the moment probably people are expecting us to have brought in four or five new players already.
"It`s a quiet market out there at this moment in time, players are keeping their options open and we are waiting to see what we can do within the framework of our budget."

Whilst Rachubka is the only signing at the club, regulars in the first team, Kasper Schmeichel, Neil Kilkenny and Bradley Johnson have all departed.

Grayson is hoping to bring in some new faces in the next week or so, "People have to remain patient and hopefully in the next ten days or so when it really heats up we will get the players that will make us better than last year," he continued.

I have been patient with Grayson. The style of football under Grayson has been woeful, simply awful at times, he hasn't got the technical ability or understanding to play decent football (as Norwich and Swansea showed last season). I don't accept the arguement that you can't play decent on the floor football at the level we are in, you fecking well can and others have shown in.

He will have to do something shortly, with the players released, sold or walking on a free I doubt we can put a starting 16 together come the opening day of the season.

This time next week, I reckon we'll have signed 2 or so players. A goalkeeper and a DM!

I'll relax when Gradel signs a new contract. Not a moment sooner.

I know what date it is and that is what is worrying me, we are 9 days away from the pre-season friendlies starting, a time where players get to know each other and try out things practiced on the training ground. Yes it is the 4th July today, you can look at it that we still have 1 months and 2 days to get some faces in or you can look at it that the season ended nearly two months ago for us and we have lost 4 players who were in the starting 11 at the end of last season with no decent replacement and that isn't counting the loan signings who returned!!

    WTF

Based on what, because even the biggest grayson fan has got to concede that he is very very poor in signing players.

Its not worrying me we haven't signed anyone because it mean we havent signed a donkey

Ive being banging on about this for ages mate, this lot dont do sexy football, they love there robust bruisers like Becchio and Johnson. Im a Gradel and Somma man, class and skill, not 6 studs around a players knee *good old cloughie*

Do you still feel confident that the starting 11 come the first game of the season will be stronger than it was at the end of last season? Grayson and the team setting off to Scotland and all we have is a cast off goalie...

Even though we haven't made any waves in the transfer market the squad is stronger than it was at the end of last season. Ok so we need another GK but as for the outfield players out have gone Johnson(who wasn't that good anyway) & Kilkenny, incomings are players who had successful loan spells,Nunez,White,Clayton & Lees, plus a fit again Parker & Kisnorbo. None of these players were available for selection at the end of last season,& yet we've only lost two outfield players. So six in,two out.
The squad is obviously crying out for a defensive midfielder, someone like Fabian Delph on a season-long loan would be perfect, also Lichaj would also be a great addition.
So those two plus a reliable, experienced GK to marshall the defence & we won't be far off complete.
