Have you ever seen them referred to as the London Wasps? Never heard or read that in commentaries or results and league tables. What is interesting about their move to the Ricoh Arena is that for £20million they got a stadium which is newer than the KC holds 7,000 more than the KC, has a 6,000 seat conference centre, hotel and casino attached for £20million. Yet some people in Hull seem to think if the KC was sold the council should expect to make a profit on the £32million the stadium part of the development cost.
To be fair they've only been London Wasps since they turned professional. Haven't they only purchased a 50% stake though?
Initially it was announced as being 50%, then it was 100%, then it was 50% of the stadium but 90% of the stadium operating company, as far as I can see the only thing that's been confirmed in all the stories is that they've bought a controlling interest.
Interesting. I had no idea they kept those numbers. Hope the folks at the Mecklenburg Co. Jail were friendly.
I would suspect that they are probably not more frequent as a % compared to boxing, or mma. From what I understand it is higher then rugby. The rational that I have heard is that the helmets offer the player the illusion of protection and that even with the helmets on the rate of head trauma is far higher than in rugby. Think how often people lead with the helmet on purpose and use it as a weapon in a way. As far as why they only talk about football its that almost no one really plays rugby, boxes, or does mma in the US where probably half of all boys do play at least some level of football in their lives and probably all have played it at least in the neighborhood.
They were pretty friendly, there is normally at least one bad CO around like at Buncombe County Detention Facility down the road from you but I found Mecklenburg County Jail to be a fairly pleasant experience. Just stay away from the The Knox County Jail which has far and away the worst COs I have seen. Uh, I should say I am not some supper hard criminal mastermind. I hardly ever spend more than a day in jail and they are always for political/environmental things (minus a couple times when I was 18).
Worth a tv watch but no NFL in London for me. Would rather go over the pond as the yanks know how to party pre-game. Tail - gating is so much fun.
