I think there'll be a lot of false confidence around the place this week which rather than adding to our chances will hinder us. Spurs will be hurting after the hammering and I think they'll fcking murder us. Quite how one scrappy 1-0 victory over Leicester takes pressure off Pardew is beyond me. Wonder if Ashley will be thanking the players after this mauling?

Spurs are a good side who we will struggle against. The game with Man C was not a 4-1 game. They were poor defensively but could easily have scored 3 themselves. Eriksen looks like it is all coming together (exactly what we need), he knits it all together for them. Our attack is weak and we won't have the possession we had against Leicester. Regardless of tactics etc, I just think we're not very good. As such I expect a spanking off teams like this away from home. 4-1 to Spurs.

Spurs will be looking to bounce back from the weekend. The scoreline flattered City and Spurs could easily have got a result if Soldado had buried his penalty and they hadn't hit self-destruct. Our defence were easily opened up by Hull and Palace and I expect Spurs to hammer us out of sight. I'd say 3-0, however if Spurs get an early goal then the way our heads drop we could do a Sunderland and get beat 6/ 7-0.

I'm going to put money on some high scores from Spurs

    5-0, 5-1, 6-0, 6-1

we are going to get utterly destroyed. Seriously, we're in for a total hiding.

I actually think well get something here. Either 2-2 or even 0-1 to us. Spurs has been quite a dodgy team for us of late (well, who hasn't...), but against better reason I have a strange feeling well come away with something from this one.

I'm not quite so optimistic, but I see us getting a jammy 0-0 again. Spurs have nothing upfront, neither do we. Keep Eriksen quiet, easyish point!

Spurs really should hump us by three or four goals. But I have a sneaky feeling that Obertron the beast will hurt them.

Another nil points for me. Defeat by at least 3 goals and the Leicester game only papered over the cracks. No doubt he'll bring back Willo and hope his new wonder kid " Obertan " will come to his rescue.

It's going to be a hefty stake to get a good trade going on this match.

Are there any positives going into this game?

I really don't understand this trade / lay thing

Since fate often seems to have a sense of irony, I'm going to put some money on Spurs 7 Newcastle 1 - at 500/1

To be fair, spurs are playing tonight and its an early Sunday kick off. Maybe a glimmer of hope?

Perhaps. It's worrying their young lad, Kane, scored a hattrick, and that Lamela scored a pretty incredible brace, but both don't really look-up to much at premier league level. I predicted 2-0 in the predo league just because I don't want to lose ground on everyone else by being different, but honestly, we should get a point....

Its sounds like you've been Ashleyed. Doing whats needed to avoid relegation rather than aiming to win the league. I haven't predicted worse than a draw for Newcastle yet and was still promoted last month (admittedly there were only 2 of us playing in the TBIII). I can see us getting something from this game if we can, for once, avoid conceding in the first 20mins.
