Count me in, although my ability to log in/post over the next few weeks will be very intermittent.

Saying that I fully expect to be voted off immediately regardless, just for old times sake.

I don't mind the format, but liked your suggestion of a Lord of the Rings style. I also think Liverpool fans did a 3-way battle just to confuse things even more.

My only special requests are:

1. DMW & GCB are on the same side but don't know it, so they can continue their lovers tiff
2. Trevski must be leader of the baddies
3. I am allowed to keep coming back from the dead, like GCB
4. Anyone 'inactive' in either posting or voting for 3 days in a row is classed as out of the game - that one is genuine! Although it could well be me this time as I might struggle to log in at times, but it's only fair on those playing that it's clear who is still 'active'.

That one could be done as a JPF vote - once the game is three days old then anybody who hasn't posted for three days risks being the person that JPF 'randomly' (yeah - like we ever believe that one you lying bastard) picks to vote off - but when he does he also states what their role/team/sexual preference was.

Format, quite like the sound of the 3 way fight. Not sure what it's about but that should confuse the hell out of everyone, even more than the last time, and then throw in JPF's obligatory rule changes and there will be a fight to be the one being killed just to escape the confusion.

Ok, we could do the three factions thing with LOTR style (Elves, Men, Forces of Evil). I think that there will be assigned roles of power, but that each player who hasn't been given such a role will gain access to special ability by staying in the game for more than 3 rounds. These players will be able to choose their ability via a character class:

For example,
a) scout - they can gain information about a player each round
b) wizard - they can protect a player each round
c) warrior - they can kill one player in the game

And these skills would be upgradable, so after round 6, they unlock new abilities.

a) scout - can gain information on two players.
b) wizard - can decide whether they wish to protect or convert a player each round.
c) warrior - beserker rage, one extra kill in the game, and can mutilate a designated player, and a designated part of that player, just for fun.

If we can get 18 players, 6 players would be on each side. The primary objective would be to kill all the forces of evil (so 12 players would be trying to kill the 6 evil players), but the secondary objective would be to claim Middle-Earth for your race. Evil would win if they destroyed the other two factions.

 

FFS - This game is a bad influence. Just the mere idea that it might start up again and I've already posted more than I have for the past month!

You could also provide special honorary roles for the duration of the game.

Fredor could be a cave troll
Sm(a)ug could be a fire-breathing dragon who lives beneath the Misty Mountains
Mr Tiote could be Denethor, spouting doom and imminent relegation from his mountain top throne before finally setting himself alight and jumping to his death

 

'Fredor' sounds more like a Hobbit-Orc-Dwarf threesome love-child.
