This is the perfect opportunity to see if Rodgers finally drops/rest Gerrard. All preseason, he mentioned he wanted to manage him better but the lad has played pretty much every game. If he doesn't drop him tomos, then it's safe to say Rodgers hasn't got the balls.
they are stubborn ****ers when we are playing well that alone ****e. on the basis its a a home game, slightly confident nothing more. how long before studge is back?
Rodgers has played Gerrard every game correct? He was supposed to be managing him better so he should be picking and choosing which games to drop him for. We're at home. We're against Hull. stevie played 90 mins against QPR and Real in less than a week.
Yeah, I know all that and I agree he needs managing. Just interested to know why this game is the perfect opportunity appose to the previous eight games. There is nothing leading up to this match that suggests to me that Brod will suddenly rest our Stevie.
Been hammered midweek and he played 90 while Cout and Hendo got rested and can looked decent when coming on. Looks like Rodgers might be saving those 2 and saying week I'll keep Gerrard on as he won't start on Saturday?
Oh I completely agree that he should have been dropped sooner, even years ago. However, we had Allen and Can both injured this season. Now we have them back which means we have options. With this, combined with the points above, Rodgers needs to show that he does have the balls to drop players. And it will be interesting to see if he drops either Skrtel or Lovren for Toure. And bring Manquillo back.
Sorry, I'm being my usual pedantic self here. I agree with what you (and Biscan) are saying, I'm merely picking up on the word perfect
We might as well smash them and keep a clean sheet Bring Balotelli on for the last 15 and he scores Everyone calms the **** down Then we spend Sunday laughing at Everton for drawing wit Burnley and the Mancs for losing to Chelsea #weekendplanner (Spurs will also drop points to Newcastle but no one gives a ****)
Or conversely.... Hull last out 2 minutes more than they did at the Emirates last week, we smash Burnley and United managed to shut out strikerless Chelsea.
We will definitely lose if we drop all three, Hull would have a hugh advantage if we only play with eight men
