i read this on ja606 and frankly it really wouldnt cheer anyone up at all. I sounds like the everton lads were babes in the woods wearing their blue shirts and enjoying themselves and a couple were outside a pub and beaten up pretty bad by a bunch of lille hooligans who targetted them via socila media. the police over there want shooting. what i heard is there was a pub there the everton lads were drinking for quite a while, no issues and bascially a few wre outside smoking when a large group of lille supporters flash mobbed them and hit them with chairs and all sorts. In short most experienced fans i think would never stay in one spot so long in foreign area nor waer colours out.... they are actually lucky it wasn't more serious and weapons were not used like italians would (and have)
It's really kicking off there now.............. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...e-ahead-Europa-League-game-against-Lille.html
I'd only read the OP when I posted that, and therefore hadn't seen your apology lad, so I take it back anyway
The one paper that steadfastly stood behind the derided, abused and defamed 'Liverpudlians' for 23 years when the rest of media either conspired with the authorities or just couldn't be arsed to do their duty re this quasi-noble nonsense they spout about a free-press and holding the powers that be to account? I take it you trust your news hung up on the nipples of nineteen year old Chantelle from Chingford. Your avatar suggests as much.
I know right, the French police force must have a terrible budget On a serious note, its a disgrace that people can't go to certain games & places wearing their club colours because of morons like these. PS - bodanki
i think the chip on his shoulder has him in a vulcan death grip and he'll drop the minute a german tank rolls within 50 miles of the border.
I am quite sure the German and Dutch police would have applied a lot more common sense to the situation and had regular contact with their police counterparts from Merseyside who were monitoring the situation. Very sad incident and lets hope all Everton fans get back to their homes safely. If you have followed Chelsea abroad Bodanki, I am sure you have witnessed over the top policing, but credit to you for retracting your first sentiment in subsequent posts.
The French police have really laid into the Everton fans tonight, bang out of order from what I've read.
sadly they will get away with it as it will just be made out its English hooligans abroad bollocks. will be interesting reading the Uefa report and what they have to say on this, as for too ****ing long now English fans have got the rough end of the stick abroad, but platini being french probably already has his excuses made. i wonder if this was English police if all english clubs would have been barred by now. ****ing joke.
Prick, laughing at fans getting attacked while they were with younger fans/kids! I bet you also laughed when a 70 year old fan in the square yesterday got hit by a tear gas cannister fired into the crowd and cut him?
Why? Just why? Get the **** off that subject right now......You know what happens when it's bought up. I dont read ANY newspapers at all, because we have an invention called the Internet, where news is updated every minute (plus it doesn't leave mucky ink all over my fingers), my avatar......well I just like tits.....sue me
Nooooooooooo.....Not at all This is deceptive, because the article has been updated, when I posted that link originally, literally all it said was, "Everton fans have clashed with police in France, French police have had to use tear gas to subdue the crowd...more to follow", it was right as it happened. It said nothing about 100 hooded frenchman, or guys getting hit in the ****ing head...... I admitted I posted too early before all the facts had come in and apologised, now accept my apology and stop being an ass.
You backtrack after an initial idiotic post. If only everything could be forgotten afterwards by saying sorry….
Yes, because I acknowledged it was silly of me to do it. No one on here is dead, or emotionally scarred, I jumped the gun and apologised. Unless some irreparable damage is done, then usually a sorry is sufficient. Jesus, its not like I swapped shirts at half time or anything!
