I thought Saints dealt with Mane's goal being scrubbed off quite coolly.

    It went like this:

Premier League - “@SouthamptonFC’s 8th goal v @SunderlandAFC has gone down as a Patrick van Aanholt own goal after originally being credited to Sadio Mane.”

    Saints - "@premierleague @SunderlandAFC Cheers, guys. #saintsfc"

Seems ever so harsh. Will be watching deflections very closely in the coming weeks to see how consistent the panel are. Doubt they would have taken it from Diego Costa.

Just watched it again, and actually I agree with them. Looks like Van Aanholt actually gets quite a lot on it.

Three different angles, but only one shows that Van Aanholt seems to put the direction on it, still seems harsh, but I can now see why they reviewed it.

But his lack of confidence in Pelle has not been justified.

Yes, I have this weird thing where I can't seem to suspend logic and just blindly believe whatever I want to be true. How do you do it?

Despite my lack of confidence in Pelle (and Bertrand and Long), I was still saying we'd finish 8th again while most people were predicting bottom half.

Greatest of all time, maybe not, but I do concede that the man is brilliant. Completely different player to the one I saw in Italy (albeit still very slow). What's that thing Socrates said about clever footballers not needing to run?

Anyway, I'm very excited and think we'll finish top 7. HOW'S THAT, POSITIVE POLICE?!

Just seen re-enactment of Lamela's goal on Sky (apparently called a rabona). Whilst not of that quality, I'm sure Pelle does that...side foot the ball whilst wrapping one leg round the other.

Lamela's goal basically made me think "no right foot" to be honest.
