OFH - I am now so used to my 9pm bedtime that I would fall asleep in my chair, so would miss the game anyway and would have a poor night's sleep!

Morning all, fresh but bright and warming up this afternoon. Off to do some building work on my daughter's house today. My assistant is a rugby fan and I know little about what is going on. Maybe I will learn something that will make the internationals interesting when they come round.

Any of the - ahem - older posters remember this guy? I have to admit that I cringe when I think of the song we used to sing about him in The Rookery....

 

I remember the song BB, and just went along with the rest in singing it - though my knowledge of him was hazy to say the least. I don't think we thought much about the actual words of songs in those days but,like you, I shudder at the thought of this one.

 

i noticed he was being released and the song was only to wind up the boys in blue

 

I was a young Met copper when those 3 policemen were killed by him and two others! I have to say he is the main reason I would always vote yes to a return of Capital Punishment!
