Not quite was I was thinking (and I realised you was being sarcastic) As horrible as it sounds, we need Gerrard to pick up a injury or retire just to force Brod's hand. At the minute, he is automatically picking Stevie and playing him every minute, until that changes we are stuck with our system to accommodate him. Nothing against Stevie, he's still a very good player but his constant inclusion is a compromise to the team IMO
well......... i don't think gerrard can be attributed blame at set piece. he's a tall enough bloke who does his fiar share. the 6 goals from open play in 12 games ok... possession stats, ok... lack of goals the other end ok... being pressed and hemmed back and playing lumped balls ok... but not the 12 goals off set peice for me. As for pulis as a coach... shudder the thought... the thuggish behaviour or his players at stoke was serious... far worse than simple agression it was going out to break legs. at palace he didn't seem to have time to get his leg breaking ways instilled.

thats different... i want a chelsea player to break utd players up and vice versa.... i would not want our own players ot be scummy like all chelsea and utd players are. just kick a few lads to set a line that they won't be bullied.
