Now maybe I'm un-sensitive but how has this made headline news on the beeb? It's minor injuries to 2 fans and he's smiling in the pic! And I'm pretty sure any such attacks pale into insignificance compared to those undertaken by Merseyside's finest as they looted the **** out of mainland Europe during the late 70's and early 80s. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-29738744 Would minor injuries to 2 people on a Saturday night drinking sesh make the news?
Any story about fifty people with weapons attacking a bar would make the news. There's also more than two injured now, some have been shot with rubber bullets this morning, one in the head.
But what does 'attack a bar' mean? I know they're French but 50 people attacking a bar and leaving these 2 with minor injuries to the extent they're smiling (at the time) is a pretty ****ing weak attack.
Dont remember it making headline news on national BBC website. If it did, I missed it. And even if it did there were more than 2 injured and they werent smiling in photos. But other than that, good comparisson.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-humber-28894508 So what is your 'line' where enough injuries make something news?
Typical French ****s. English fans get attacked so the police attack the English fans. ****ing nuke the ****s they're a stain on this planet.
Yes that would be news. This article wasnt about 2 other people being shot. Glad to help clear this up for you.
Is this the point where I tell you it was a BBC Liverpool article, not a main headline on the main BBC news page as you wrongly alluded to in your OP?
Quick question - why is this bothering you so much in the first place? I bet if it were Inter in this situation you'd be raving why there's no coverage...
Bad idea, they've got more bombs than us http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_states_with_nuclear_weapons
Andrew Broughton just stated that Everton fans as well as Lille have been throwing bottles this afternoon. Send in the CRS. That'll learn 'em.
It doesnt bother me that much. This is a football forum, football related incidents were in the news when I thought they shouldnt be. Simple as. Im pretty sure we could ask 'why does it bother you?' for 95% of threads on this forum and then be done with it.
