Too early to start bugging him about new transfers yet. He did say (even before the QPR match) that we'll be getting rid of Balo if we can and can get someone better
Two simple questions 1. Which club will be daft enough to sign Taglatelli? 2. Getting someone better is simple, but who will Brenda be able to sign or even tempt to move to Liverpool? Last sighting of Brenda was sneaking around the transit camp at Calais seeing if any of the illegal immigrants could kick a football.
What an athlete he is, the bookies just made a fortune due to everyone betting on Ronaldo to score the first goal.
have the RS decided they have already lost and are going to play their second string players. Are they forecasting some huge score and coming up with " well we expected the thrashing as we didn't play our strongest side". Aren't we all proud of the RS? #RSdoenglandproud
When you have 3 games in 8 days and you're playing the best team in the world, away, as the second of those matches... Well then it makes perfect sense to rest one or two players, however the tricky thing is to not seem to be accepting the fact that it's a lost cause and you're resting players for the PL. I don't have a problem with what Liverpool are doing, it makes sense to rest older players and young ones that have been playing a lot, but it is a nightmare deciding how to portray it to the media and fans. I think the smartest (and unethical) move would be to say Gerrard has a slight niggle or something, but BR has decided to go the honest route albeit with a squad rotation spin thrown into the mix... It goes without saying that if they were playing at Anfield then they would have to go all out for a result, but having played there already and lost convincingly I can understand their thinking...
They will miss tonight's game as they continue debating whether last season was a fluke or a complete fluke.
Blah blah fluke blah blah. Last season was not a fluke, it was 30 fliukes over a whole season. We fluked beating your away goals record too
It makes sense but comes across as very defeatist. Accepting defeat, which will make it three on the bounce I think, to go for second place to a far superior opponent is all very well but to then try to get out of that rut of defeat and raise the players mindset again to win against the best team in the league is quite another. This could backfire. It might not of course but, as is always the case with him, Rodgers isn't being as smart as he no doubt thinks he is.
