You can't say we are 'looking at 5th at best' when we haven't even started our transfer business yet. At least wait to see what our squad looks like when we have added to it before deciding we won't finish in the top 4.

How are Liverpool not good enough for the top four? Granted we didn't get their last season but we beat Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City who all finished in the top four. We did have some stumbling blocks but are you honestly saying that even if Liverpool don't sign players (Remember, its July, stop acting like its the end of the window and all we signed is Henderson) we can't break into the top four?

Stop looking at the paper infront of your eyes which shows Arsenal's squad better than Liverpool's and have a look at the real-life mental state of both teams. I'm not saying Arsenal are totally **** but I am saying Liverpool can't be ruled out of a top four finish when the continental summer transfer window hasn't even been open for twenty-four hours.

Not a dig at Arsenal, a dig at the people who believe Liverpool aren't a threat.

strewth cymraeg - don't slit your wrists yet, mate. In another month when we have almost signed about 20 more players THEN you might slit your wrists.

I'm not saying you can't make 4 or that I don't rate you but I personally feel that we are still better than you. There is too much pessimism about us at the moment and I felt I had to remind people that despite all our faults we are still a good team.

chill pool guy. No-one said your squad is poor, its just that your 'kenny run' has to be judged in context. No pressure, teams safe, when you played us we were poor but you were the same liverpool that has struggled to play against us, whilst we get humped by the better teams.

If anything the media is on your side, and we are in the gutter, you had a strong finish bar the arsenal and tottenham games which people believe will carry on to next season. But things will be tough if wenger somehow dusts off his old cheque book.

The teams that a very likely to finish above us, are city, chelsea and utd. But we'll have to see what we do in the transfer market, but im not holding my breath.

The only thing that's happening at Arsenal at the moment is that we are planning to buy some players, strengthen the squad and make an improved title bid. <ok> I see no reason to get depressed about anything.

    football fans.
team does badly for a few games.
    they turn depressed.
    either 1) they commit suicide.
or 2) they wait until its turned around.
or 3) they become man utd glory-seekers...

if you lot become 3), I'm going to make sure you wished you had never become a fan...

On the basis of what we know already, it is going to be diificult for us to stay in the top 4. If we lose Cesc or Samir we will be much weaker whoever comes in.

The additions Wenger is talking about e.g Cahill and or Samba will not compensate for the losses. It's true we don't know who will actually come in but if AW runs true to form the additions will be minimal compared to the potential losses.

    So my pediction for next season is;

    Man Utd
    Chelsea
    Man Citeh
    Liverpool
    Arsenal

Hmm, for now your squad may be stronger but come the end of the transfer window we'll see. Liverpool are in a re-building process and managed a draw against you guys aswell as beating the other three teams that qualified for the Champions League. I'm not saying we're Premier League title candidates I'm just saying we are resurgent and full of passion and determination along with the drive to succeed. Something Arsenal lack at the moment and something which you seem to be undervaluing. Arsenal's team may be strong on paper but too many times they have lacked leadership and co-ordination, something which has really cost them success (Newcastle 4-4..)

people have been saying a lot about liverpool coming back, but they overperformed at the end of last season, while most teams underperformed, so i'm not confident about them next season. a lot of their team is the same as when they were down, and the only reason they did well was because the dalglish appointment lifted the fans. they'll have gotten over that by the end of the summer and will stay in contention for europa league but not more.

Christ sales in magic eight balls must have gone up with some of predictions being mentioned here! Good god how can you reasonably expect to accurately judge our season when we havent even started yet? Wise up, lighten up and remember football is supposed to be fun

mental torture I can cope with - I'm married for christ's sake! However watching Arsenal plays havoc with my physical health. Stress, heart-rate, headaches, blood-pressure, ulcers - frustration. Must get a cat - so I can kick it when things aren't going well.
