I don't get markovic.... I don't even see a glimmer of a fee of 20 mil... Nothing. You can see can has missed preseason and 6 weeks thereafter... But you can see a glimmer of talent there

    Lallana is too lightweight totally

Lovern ain't half as bad as you lot are making out. You are maligning him half the time and making it easy for saints haters to lord it. He played decent today and was totally exposed half the time

    Lambert was pointless buy

    Balotelli a disaster

So.... Our best 11 will be the same 11 barring lovern and maybe Moreno we started last season with seeing Suarez was out then that's the issue we've wasted two summers and one January buying potential or not good enough.... And paying through the nose as well

Well that was interesting! The dream team are in a different league to you chaps that's for sure, and they didn't have Bale either, Did RM get out of second gear? Must be a very big wake up call, never mind you can have a second go at the Bernabéu...............<laugh>

PS: He's a lazy git that telly.

He's been at that a while. Thompson is the same

Everyone who can speak freely is speaking freely. Nobody wanted him, nobody likes him.

Ronaldo was 82, Bale was 85, di Maria was 30.

Mark was 20, Sakho was 18, Lovren was 20 and Lallana was 20.

Them three = 197 million pounds

Them four = 78 million pounds.

    They can't be compared.

Fair enough. But wtf has Lambert got to do to get on the pitch for you guys? I'm currently more disappointed for him than for us.

Mweh, we gambled on a mix of foreign youth and "established" PL players...and lost..SO FAR.

Add it all up all you want Tobes, as a team striving to play CL and reach top four again we had to do it while not attracting the real deal players that the other established CL teams did. They didn't want to come.

Do you just keep the money, tiny squad and give up or spend it on a whack load of possibilities and see how it goes...if they'd worked or still do work then panic over, if not well then that's the managers head rolling.

I mean there's Carra saying "just buy two big worldies"

THEY DIDNT WANT TO BLOODY COME TO A TEAM ONLY JUST BACK IN THE CL AND LOST OUR BEST PLAYER!!!!

    Wishing doesn't mean it happens...

What does Borini have to do to make the squad? What does Balotelli have to do to not start?

And rightly so, but when will Carra stop forgetting to mention how his old mate SG has been woeful? Balo has been ****e, but Gerrard, Lovren and Johnson have been equally ****e.

None of them are as ****e as BR's transfers though.

    Who's comparing them?

I was arguing the point that buying the best players somehow doesn't work - it does, when you buy genuine quality.

Your problem is that you've paid top dollar for average players, you could have bought a couple of top drawer players, buy you bought a cartload of over priced average larkers

Imagine if we'd broken our spending record just to keep the players we loaned at the club <yikes> #fraud

We did the right thing with the money. We had 100 million pounds, what 'worldies' do we buy then?

I'm saying top dollar is what Real Madrid have used. We've used above average money on potential players. If we went out and paid 40 million in one player and he flopped then I would agree with you, so far we've bought players with potential.

Exactly - we ain't in that ****ing bad a place.

I still think we will qualify and our realistic rivals for 3rd/4th are all behind us at the moment so what does it say about their teams if we are that **** and clueless?

Depens what you mean by "massive" prices. Lallana was the most expensive, and I think he only just about made the Top 10 Premier League transfer this summer. Course they're big prices for average clubs, but they're hardly elite prices (that's not to say they're not overpriced though).
