Phil you and Dai seem to always go on about Laudrup, get over it he is gone Monk is a moron imo, bring in Moyes rofl
He hasn't worked that out yet, give him time. The Penclawdd double act go into paroxysms of pure unadulterated hatred at the mere thought of him. Whatever you do,don't mention Laudrup's top ten finish,or the Europa Cup adventure courtesy of a major Cup triumph.
Or the fact that Laudrup was smart enough, prudent enough, mature enough and classy enough ... not to run around after a capitulating to defeat in the second half and bleat about the way his team are treated on the field or .... face sanction (fines and suspension) by calling officials and other players cheats. I always thought professional football was played by men .... makes you think. Perhaps that is how he behaved while Sousa and Laudrup were managers .... saw something he didn't like and went running and bleating to Huw.
I'm surprised the Laudrup haters aren't shouting that we were 4 pts of the relegation zone when ML was sacked, because now we are ...... Ahhh!
If posters want to derail threads because they've still got a hard on for the Monk v Laudrup crap you can have a 48 hour cooling off period. Enough is enough. Move on or put each other on ignore.
Don't agree with this at all . It's a football forum! What rules are being broken? Going on about Laudrup v Monk is irritating for some (me included) but I have to say that it's almost inevitable bearing in mind the inexperience of Monk and the unpopularity of his appointment coupled with the controversial circumstances of the sacking of Laudrup. Bearing in mind our recent form this is bound to raise its head again and threatening posters with a ban makes you sound like that windbag oldsparkey on the Cardiff board - and trust me you don't want to be doing that.
This is a thread about Michu and those debating Monk v ML end up in slanging matches that spill over into other threads. Quite frankly it's pathetic. I have no issue with those wanting to continue the debate, my problem is with those who use the debate to insult each other.
"I have no issue with those wanting to continue the debate, my problem is with those who use the debate to insult each other." That's not what you said the first time. I agree, insults = a breach of the rules. But if there's no breach then posters should be allowed to debate what they want without mod interference. The rest of us can encourage those posters to keep a thread on track without any threat of bans.
How does that comment help? Seems that some here just love to stir things up - and yes, you seem to be the biggest culprit. When you put your mind to it you can debate - do more of it, man.
One thing for sure ... Monk's future is in his hands. He can descend into decrepitude or rally and continue his tenure. Take the last series of matches and replace the name "Monk" with any other name and the tone on this board would be decidedly different. November would be a make or break month for A.N. Other. As the saying goes, "best interest of the club", must come first. It will be interesting to see the machinations of HJ and the Board as November unfolds. It's going to be a brutual month even if we are firing on all cylinders with everybody fit ... seems like deja vu all over again, we've been there before and we know how the story ends. And, politics being what politics is, I'm left to wonder who might be doing a "Monk" on Monk. Nobody is impervious. I'm reading the latest book on Pep Guardiola - Pep Confidential - excellent read and it seems that even the overtly perfect Barca was a bit of a zoo.
Laudrup was so good that jinx had to sack him. Monk is so poor that he saved the club and this season could easily have us in 4th place if we had players who could finish Naughty naughty jinx you boobed again carrying on boobing since we were in div2. Its time to bring back petty i reckon and get rid of jinx who keeps on f**ing the club up.....
