There was an old lady from Totton
Who made football shirts out of cotton
    When Beppe resigned
    The shirt she designed
Said 'Quite gone but never forgotten'

It was in his originally-named song Portsmouth, Salisbury, Rochester and Totton - he later changed the title to Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme and omitted that verse.

Not many people know that... ;)

Could never interest Paul Simon in my song-writing skills. He was adamant that 'Like a fridge over troubled water' and 'Here's your stew, Mrs Robinson' would never catch the public's imagination.

OMG your right Bolton I remember it now I think it started

Are you going to Scarborough Fair?
    Portsmouth, Salisbury, Rochester and Totton
Remember me to one who lives there
It’s Billy McKinlay and he’s feeling rotten.

Tell him to pull on a different team’s shirt
    Portsmouth, Salisbury, Rochester and Totton
Without a doubt he’s still out of work
Let’s hope it’s not once seen and then forgotten.

Talking of Simon & Garfunkel, is anyone else watching the Detectorists?
It's well worth it. Written by Mackenzie Crook, and beautifully observed, understated humour.
Best to start in at episode 1 to get the full flavour.
