I know we are all Swans, but you can see in many posts some cannot wait for him to fail, and if you can't see it I suggest you take another look.

Not if you can see its the finishing that is letting us down and not monk's team and tacticts selection you wont....monk has no power once they are playing except to pull bony off and even that would be wrong....Top manager who works like no other manager before him for the club and lack lustre at finishing is our only problem....

have to wonder if you sleep with Monk sometimes Dai, no offence intended, the guy is clueless or his backroom staff are, get the players fit to play 90 minutes and not 30

......but I seem to remember that the team had been doing extra sessions to work on their fitness during pre-season. Was that another lie ?

Maybe Monk should put them through finishing training? or getting a striker on who could finish (since you plan on scapegoating bony)?

So what's this thread all about then? Let me guess the Moyes wish list, 8 games in and you want Monk out? How fickle is that………………… .<laugh>

It's a Monkey thread as a few have suggested we should have the pair of them as our number 1 and 2.

Who is scapegoating Bony? no one as far as I can see.

What has been said is that the finishing has been woeful which you have to agree with because it has.

We should have been out of sight within 45 Saturday and on previous occasions. We are slicing open defences with ease only to be let down by very tepid finishing from midfield.

Using Saturday as an example Siggy, Ki, Carroll all missed relatively simple chances.

No one is scapegoating Bony. The problem he is having is that our midfield aren't providing him with any meaningful balls into the box; no crosses, no through balls, no delicate passes, nothing.

It has been doubly difficult for Bony as for most of each game he has had to cover for our much vaunted Siggy, who seems to go walkabout/missing/anonymous/invisible after 30mins every game so far.

I'm so board with all this bollox.

The reason Monk is manager is because we couldn't survive as a club in the premier league if we constantly had to recover from losing the heart and sole of our club through losing out on the managerial merry-go-round.

    To recount our recent history;
Martinez, Sousa, Rodgers all left for 'bigger' and 'better' things, in their words. Imo, Michael Laudrup et al were poised to go too hence his speedy mid-season demise maybe. I also suggest that with Michael Laudrup we as a club had reached our event horizon.

Almost yearly OUR plans and OUR future had been ripped up and pi**ed on by managers who's ambition directly conflicted with ours. Each manager who left, tore out our heart and sole, taking key staff and players away with them, making us start again from scratch as if we were a newly promoted club.

What about Moyes? Ask yourselves, if he came, how long would he stay? I doubt he'd make 18 months before temptation called his name. After that we'd be right back on the slab, ripped up, vulnerable and fighting the devil again.

During and Post Laudrup, imo, we reached the end of our tether and were desperate. I believe we couldn't endure another beating and something different had to be done to save us as a prem team. Desperate times focuses minds and helped us strike with clarity so, hello Gary Monk.

    I know he's a rookie but...
.....he is a rookie with years of experiences of our club as player, Captain, and coach. He has a deep, heartfelt understanding of our club and our history, especially as he is a major part of it. He has more experience of Swansea City FC than any manager currently plying his/her trade on our tiny planet.

In addition I think the board appointed Monk not to be a manager of our club but to be a custodian of it. Through Monk the board have appointed someone to stabilise and clarify a normally fuzzy oscillating future. Monk is the caretaker of our clubs ambition and no one is more qualified than him to do that.

    Viva Monk

<laugh> You clearly haven't been reading Daiswan's posts. Another hate campaign on the horizon methinks.

    'One season wonder' etc etc.
