Dear LVG Please drop RVP and Mata against Chelsea and play Adnan in the number 10 role, Falcao up top with Di Maria one side and Valencia the other and use pace to our advantage against their not so quick defence.
Not so much personel we need as a better system. Pallister and Bruce, Rio and Vidic, two partnerships with a strong defender and a fast defender but they never played the high line hoping for off-side, as soon as the team lost the ball they fell back into their positions to cover fast breaks. We are lacking a leader though.
Sorry Dave but Adnan has not had a game to justify his place for over 12 months, at the moment i would play Lingard ahead of him. Still think Kagawa was our best 10 but would like to see Herrera given a couple of games there, think he has the ability to do it.
Did you watch a different game to me last night? There was absolutely nothing in Januzaj's performance to suggest he should be elevated to the No 10 role. I do agree with dropping van Persie though but only to accommodate Falcao. Mata should remain at 10 and the team should be allowed to build some form, not be continually ****ed about with in the hope it finds a winning formula. If I were to base anything on last night then it's Fellaini who should go in at ten behind Falcao, not Januzaj.
Januzaj had a stinker. Falcao has to play instead of RVP who has done almost nothing all season. Mata should be pretty motivated to play against Chelsea. I'm no Rooney fan for various reasons but the team definitely lacks intensity when he's not playing.
Is there a United version of the Astrohashtagkid? If so, can they find a stat on how many minutes Di Maria and Falcao have played together? I bet it's not very many.
I'm not sure what to expect from Jose with this match. Will he: a) Realise Uniteds defence is Championship standard and go all out attack in an attempt to smother them early and grab an early couple of goals before shoring up and getting tighter in order to try grab a win or b) Do what he normally does at OT and bring out the Routemaster and we will be subjected to 90 dour minutes of a 0-0 or possibly 1-1 draw I am hoping for a, but expecting b.
I would fully expect b). Not because I think that United are better than Chelsea or that Maureen thinks he cannot win. He will go for b because the outcome from b - a draw will suit Chelsea best. The reality is that he does not have to win. Whereas United realistically have to if LVG is to show that he has improved the team. United will get more from 3 points than Chelsea and Maureen will not go on the attack. He will also be a bit weary of LVG who can spring a surprise on him. So I'll go for a low scoring draw or realistically a 2-3 win to the chavs if United start to chase the game.
Possibly. LVG saying it was our best game of the season is a bit disingenuous. Yes we played all the 90 minutes but United are still way short of the required standard. Subjectively I think (and it is only an opinion) United have hit the bottom but yet to climb up. To me we seem to be bumping along that bottom. Our slide seems to have been arrested ( hope I haven't spoken too early) . We seem to be reasonably safe from relegation (just because I think there 3 worst teams in the prem). And it looks that we could improve on 7th. Another good sign is we are getting results at home. The surest sign that something is not right is when your team plays worse at home than away. When any f**ing team comes along and bosses your players in your own ground. I can see positives in the WBA draw. To get an equaliser on 87mins, is cheering but the reality is that the attack must be scoring more. The defence will get better as regulars get more games. The Chelsea and City matches will be informative too.
Di Maria definitely has the ears to be Pinky, and Falcao has the forehead to be the Brain. "What should we do tomorrow night, Radamel" "Same thing we do every night Angel. Try to take over the world"
