I don't disagree with any of that mate. Just had a look at Putins speech as well. Don't disagree with any of that either. It's common sense. Our politicians are seriously lacking in it.

I've been reliably informed by a much more intelligent member of Not606 that the 'speech' was a fake. Serves me right for thinking somebody would actually have the balls, somewhere, to stand up to this ****.

Apologies for misleading anybody, we're all ****ed.

I thought it was very similar to a one made by the gaffer of Australia. Wonder if that's fake as well? Mind you, they do have a points system to get into their country.

And we have an intelligent member on not606?

Yeah, it's diddles, he knows everything...drumming away with his bloody book of facts and his 'truth', face-value idiots like me are no match for guys like him.

That Aussie was a woman wasn't it, just told all the Chinese to **** off when she was having a bad period or something, that's why we need a bird in charge, when they're on the blob nobody is safe!

If there was going to be a world capital, would it be London or elsewhere?

I'd imagine mate, because the IMF and World Bank HQ's are in Washington, then it'd be there.

So the contenders are London, Washington, then maybe New York, any more?

It wouldn't be in the running, it's not even the capital of Europe.

As Terry says, Washington, unless the Chinese put their foot down, which I imagine they would.

Average house price in London is £596,000

That would buy you a huge gaff in say, Cumbria. I know there's probably nothing to do there but for older, retired folk with no desire to be decapitated by a Jihadi, it's worth considering.

I reckon we'll get eventually a global superstate (once the worlds economy collapses) and it'll be Shanghai/Bejiing
