I neither believe or dis-believe anything people say about themselves on a chat forum, you never know who you are talking to. That is how kids like me get trapped by perverts
Who's deflecting? I was merely countering your point you dead head Wheels? No lad it comes with 5000 sq feet and a couple of acres, chin, chin, old boy.
I don't think I did. As it never happened then we can only look at Everton's history as a guide - after that all is supposition. Anyway I'd far rather that we returned to discussing tonight's match. If you look at my first post this evening on this thread you will see that I was calling for the players and the fans to recapture the spirit of the European glory days. In some ways that is harking back to the the early days of our European experiences where the majority of sides visiting Anfield were expected to be of a higher standard than that we were supposedly capable of. Our victories were built upon team spirit and hard work and its those same principles that we need to rekindle against Madrid.
I actually think you are good for a draw with Madrid, they are playing very well at the moment and i would imagine very confident but i think the passion of the crowd and (should be) the team will take them by surprise. I see nothing but a big defeat for you at their place though
I'll worry about the return fixture when we come to it. I think we've got enough on our plate tonight!
Second that PC, same to you lot too, genuinly. (i will still be on to giggle if things go wrong though )
Whether we like it or not, Balotelli is our player for the time being, so what I want is for him to play, and to start getting it right. If he doesn't figure, then that's one fewer option we have. We wanted Super Mario, but so far we it seems we bought Donkey Kong- it's time for him to sort himself out and show what he can do.
There has never been a "super mario", the City fans tagged him that for about 6 months then realised they were wrong. Madrid is the type of team he turns it on against though so you could be in for a pleasent surprise, but if you go 1-0 down in the first 10-15 mins he will go missing.
I like to see English teams do well in Europe, if any reach the final i will be delighted, not saying i want anyone but us to ever win it though
Obviously the name is just a joke, but I've been thinking this might be the time for him to shine. He's such a moody bastard though, I agree that if things go right for him he'll thrive on that, but if they don't he'll just sulk. I honestly believe that if some of his efforts so far had gone in, we'd be seeing an entirely different player. The mark of a great player though is one who gives their all when things aren't going well for them, and I don't think he's ever going to get the hang of that. Time to wheel the club psychologist out.
Everyone thinks we're going to get a thumping tonight, we're at our best with our backs to the wall let's hope we cause an upset tonight **** Real Madrid this is Anfield and we are Liverpool.
Well lets hope tonight is as exciting as on here last night! Which I missed cause I fell asleep watching Brian Cox fondle human skulls......
