MATCH winner Jon Walters says Victor Moses is no Chico Flores after another clash with Swansea City was dogged by diving allegations. Walters called for Flores to be banned when the two sides met in Wales last season and the defender held his face claiming he had been struck by Steven Nzonzi. This time it was a Stoke player in the dock, with Moses branded a cheat by Swans boss Garry Monk when he hit the deck with Angel Rangel in close attendance.

“I think we were fortunate to come in at 1-1 at the break. They’ve got some great players up front with (Wilfried Bony), (Nathan) Dyer, (Gylfi) Sigurdsson, (Wayne ) Routledge and Ki. Some very, very good players and I’d say Bony’s one of the hardest you’ll come up against. He’s one of the best in the Premier League at what he does.

I like to see other supporters views and although the Swans have been my passion for over 50 years I hope I am not as one eyed as some seem to be. If someone comes on and tries to stir things up show some maturity and ignore the post and not indulge in childish bickering as this only gives encouragement to the knobs. Back to the real subject. Some say that Rangel used his right arm on Moses whilst ignoring the fact that Moses did the same with his left arm to Rangel. It was a clear dive and Oliver got the decision totally wrong, not the first time a ref has done this sort of thing to us. A wrong decision like that could, at the end of the day, cost a club their Premier status with all the financial implications that would involve. Gary Monk was right to show his anger and indeed would be failing in his duty as a manger if he did not. Mourinho, Wenger and Sir Alex amongst others have done so in the past.

Along with others, I'll post whatever I like provided I don't break the rules. No offence but watch you don't hurt yourself dismounting that high horse of yours. <ok>

Agree with the rest of the post though.

Can't say he wasn't a notorious exaggerator though. I used to cringe at times. Not the sort of attutude we want at this Club imo and it's no wonder he and Monk didn't get on.

He did over do the theatrics a couple or three times but tbf it was usually after he'd had a bit of a battering and the ref had ignored the fouls on him. Carroll really caught him in the face with an elbow on the edge of the WH area but the ref did nothing. Next time Carroll attacked him he made a meal of it and the ref took notice.

I think Monk was right to make the fuss, especially as his tape highlighting referees' performances had been ignored.

Agreed about the theatrics but it did show he cared and I will always stand up for Chico, IMO a great player and a great loss.
Some are saying Garry's outburst has also had a negative effect on the club' standing and show up his inexperience. I don't have a problem with what he did or said and would like to see more managers being as honest.

I find it hard to criticise diving and exaggerating on the one hand and then 'stand up for Chico' who was the worst culprit we've ever had at this Club. It's hypocrisy. Perhaps Moses 'cared' too when he did that swallow dive. <doh>

A half decent centre back who was often prone to ricks and brought us into disrepute through his pathetic antics. Great player? Er...no.

As you say, it's all about opinions.

I doubt that, matter of fact I think it will have the opposite effect, I think folk will sympathise with him, and will add to his character, everybody involved with footy loves the controversy, he could be old bacon face in the making, you never know...............<ok>

"all of Chicos red cards were sketchy"

Replace 'sketchy' with 'deserved' and you're about right.

Oh dear,on a different thread you were praising Jenkins for having got rid of Sousa and Laudrup because they were "contentious".

Now,it appears that being contentious is O.K. for Monk to embrace, since it will "add to his character".

You couldn't make it up. LOL.

Did you hear the one about the guy who joined a Silent Order of Monks?

On his first day,the top Monk told him that at the end of every ten years he would be allowed to say two words, then nothing for another ten years.

"So you must choose your words with great care",advised the top Monk.

Ten years of silence went by,and they duly reconvened in the top Monk's office.

The top Monk silently invited the man to speak.

    "Food bad",he said.Then he left.

Ten years later he returned to the office.

    "Bed hard",he said, and left.

Another ten silent years passed, and another meeting took place.

For thirty years the man had lived with silence, bad food, and a hard bed.Enough was enough.

    "I'm off",he said.

"Well, thank goodness for that",replied the top Monk,"you've done nothing but complain since you've been here". <laugh>
