    I posted this last week along with his goals and assists to show he can tackle. I thought maybe he'd hardened up a little after his season in the PL. There's also a couple of bits of skill that we'd be drooling over if Suarez had made them.

    All that crap about being to weak was bollocks anyway.

    There is a difference between that and being injury prone. He can do it for us, just needs a fair crack at it.

    Welcome back Alberto, and welcome back Michela {meee-owww}

    But aquaman, you agent, Franco Zacaglia, looks like a bit of a tool, ditch him, get a better one mate, this bloke looks like the Del boy of Italian agents "we've got lots of irons in lots of fires, every club in Italy wants him, he is bound to stay in Italy, I'd bet money on it.."

    I know they are similar but think Aqua is more of a forward player and Mereiles a midfielder (who can't tackle).
    I think Aqua is suited to a completely attacking role and with us maybe playing Carrol Suarez and Gerrard coming from midfield I can't see him fitting our style of play, I could be wrong and I am happy for him to come back.

    I could imagine Del Boy saying that, and when Juventus' negotiator informs him negotiations have broken down, Aquilani's agent comes out with "Oh you PLONKER!"
    Quality <laugh>

    Hmm, good point actually, I'd like to think that Lucas gets an automatic starting line-up place following his brilliant season, but if Gerrard gets injured/suspended maybe Aquilani can fill his role? I mean with Lucas now an established central midfielder who can tackle Gerrard is likely to be given the freedom he had previously and Aquilani could be deadly if he fills in that role.

    That's kind of where i'm at with Aqua, i'm hoping he can fill that attacking midfield role when Gerrard is injured/rested but not so sure he can and is he going to be happy playing a sub role anyway. I can't think of a way to play Carroll Suarez Lucas Gerrard and 2 wingers as well as Aqua. Time will tell I suppose.

    Aquilani can tackle his tackles are mainly smart and clean - he's good at that from what I've seen .

    He is also very good at corners and set pieces. I welcome him back and Hodgson should be ashamed of himself for loaning it a 20M plater...nobody does that.
