Didn't want to keep him, but he must have been disappointed to be sacked by Saints after hanging around during our dark days. However, I understand he got a good pay off that they didn't technically have to give him.
Has anyone got an answer on how to get back at an organisation called UK Habits? They have just called me for the eighteenth time in two days! I don't mind the odd cold caller, but this is persistent pestering is getting beyond a joke, they won't take no for an answer.
I never speak but just hang up (especially if it is obviously a call centre). However, very frequent calls must be annoying...tell them you are going to report them or just put the phone down and let them waste their money.
Among the many wonderful sights I saw in Glastonbury today were (1) a sign warning of road closures because of a "Zombie Walk" on Saturday, and (2) Michael Eavis queuing for the till in a supermarket.
He's pretty famous Fran! But I have worked at most of the Glastonbury Festivals in the last 25 years, including camping on the farmhouse lawn for the last few. He's always driving around in his red Land Rover. I've spoken to him a few times, not that he would know me from Adam.
Michael Eavis is VERY recognisable! I'd imagine he was still wearing denim shorts, despite the weather?
You mean the one blasting through the Premier league, or that fresh breeze we had this afternoon..? We don't get hurricanes in Southampton. It would be too undignified.
I keep getting the scam phone calls from "Microsoft" alleging I have a virus on my PC. I play along, by saying I'm just going to fire up my computer, and putting them on hold for 2 minutes why I pretend to log in, then I pretend to follow their instructions, but slowly saying my computer is taking a long time. Then finally, after 5 - 6 minutes I tell them to feck off as I'm not falling for their scam. Childish I know, but it makes me smile.
