CTWD have never claimed that they've done anything, other than campaign against a pointless name change and a desire to form a supporters trust. We've been very supportive of the Allam's and always recognised their contribution to the club and the area. Often in the face of extreme provocation, provocation that might well have driven my missus to buy me a hip flask if she the slightest interest in all the meetings I go to and what had happened as a consequence of my involvement(fortunately, she's completely obvious).
I would like to know if CTWD will be giving out free balloons at any point, I feel it was a mistake not giving out balloons the first time of asking,(I like balloons) does the CTWD committee have a view on this? Supplementary questions. 1. What power do you have? 2. Where did you get it from? 3. To whom are you accountable? 4. In whose interest do you exercise it? 5. How can we get rid of you? Thanks for listening.
I've got no idea what "tgis" means. I've not said whether I think publishing his hipflask on twitter is minor or. I think the attempt of people opposed to CTWD to show it secretly means we are all anti-Allam or even that Mark is is pathetic as I said at the time. Personally I think the work Mark has done for CTWD means he deserves a second chance. I don't think it'll be an issue in his dealings with the club and would expect him to be at the meeting tonight from all that OLM has posted. If its such an issue for you have you asked Mark about it? I don't mean had a go on twitter but just asked him about what happened. Genuine question.
Poor, very poor responses. Let's be clear here, as you appear to believe you are addressing someone else, I am, and have been since its inception, a founder member of CTWD. I have questioned it along the way and, after receiving satisfactory answers I have spoken up for the group on here. Once I had the truth about the first meeting minutes I moved on; but, to be frank, that was far more difficult than it should have been. Your point about sending an email is clearly intended to act as a put down, implying I will not go to the source of my concern. It is, in my opinion, a high-handed but misguided barb which does you little credit. The flask incident is not so old and it is always fair to give folk a reasonable opportunity to make redress. This thread has come along at an opportune point and it has been described as a direct conduit to CTWD - so I consider that might include the Chairman. The position of Chairman must, no ifs and buts, must carry authority and integrity. I don't know Mark, although I do admire and sincerely appreciate what he has done for the group and it's membership; not to mention the fence sitters who reaped the benefits of his work. It (the flask) was a joke, albeit a poor one, I can share it's sentiment, that's no secret on here; but to tweet it, be proud of it and, if pissed at the time, not to immediately retract is simply poor judgment. You seem to focus solely on the reaction (it need not be immediate) of the owner and, although it should be taken into account, perhaps some thought should be given to the so-called silent majority and, also, the 1855 who might look for a better reaction to a very clumsy and offensive joke. This is not a back-street youth club, we are discussing a fledgling Premier League Supporters Trust with aspirations of sitting at the top table of a multi-million pound business, whose owner and Chairman has been held up to ridicule by being publicly called a **** by our Chairman. Any potential owner must be watching with interest. It doesn't take a great deal of effort to make the jump from 'tgis' to 'this'.
Given this response I am now of a mind to take a much closer interest in the proposed creation of this trust. I had come to terms with the explained benefits, but the X-factor, the folk driving it, give me cause for concern.
Tgis is a spelling mistake, caused by typing whilst on my phone. No need to be so condescending and sneering about it, although it's good other folks can see your mask slipping. It's an issue a lot of us have. CTWD have claimed to be open, honest, and to be acting with integrity etc. They claim to have opened up lines of communications. All that's happened so far is smug patronising answers, and the responses of current CTWD members do not give anyone either neutral or anti any warm feelings about CTWD. In the past you and CTWD have been able to play the "poor little us, doing our best, don't be mean, oh look we're really slick and professional, and we really really love Dr Allam" card. If you don't understand why that hip flask represents all that the majority of fans think is wrong with your sordid organisation, well, I'm not surprised. You'll also be oblivious to why so many people dislike CTWD, its committee, and what it stands for. I don't care one bit what he's done for CTWD, I don't care if he deserves a second chance, I, and plenty of others would simply like to hear something from him, as it was his, and he posted it on twitter, about it. Open? Honest? Integrity? This is not about me. I haven't put myself forward as a public figure. It's about someone who has, then shown the worst sense of judgement they could. We'd like to know why. I would LOVE a properly run supporters trust, similar to other well run ones, however, we are being rail roaded by a small minority with their own agenda into one. No I will not join it, try to get on the committee, it would be like me joining the Tories in an effort to change them. I wouldn't want to, and if I did, it wouldn't change a thing. The only comfort I have currently is that some posters on CI seems to have at least as much distrust of CTWD and its vision as we do.
I reckon the fact someone has a pass is a pretty good indication of how dedicated they are to the club. People who say they are fans but have a myriad of excuses why they're not passholders I take less seriously.
The idea CTWD think they will ever have any kind of mandate to represent the majority of City fans shows how out of touch they are. There are other Hull City supporters' organisations with far more credibility which have been running for years lead by people less inclined to attract negative publicity than CTWD's leadership. The Tigers' Co-op was mentioned. Please can you tell us more about it and their leadership? I thought it has disbanded. I was a member. Last I remember Margaret Biell was part of the leadership but isn't she on another supporters' group's leadership team? I support Hull City .... frankly, I'm more than happy to let Dr. Allam run the club rather than try and keep track of all these competing "supporters' clubs" and would-be trusts. To me, it smacks of people who like "running things" they can't afford to own.
Including the OP it looks like CTWD has posted on here 8 times. Are all the other responses to questions unauthorized replys and just personal opinions of people who are or were involved with CTWD. After 10 pages i think we need some clarification. Its starting to look like one of Mr Allam's press conferences.
Its not a put down. I would have asked the person concerned and/or the group I was a member of rather than putting on a message board with anti-CTWD people on it first.
