Never done one before, can't be arsed to add content.

I assume I won't jinx us as I won't be able to actually watch the match and we tend to not win when I do.

All other match threads are now deemed obsolete.

    Enjoy.

Based on the evidence before my eyes I'm assuming we'll get our arses kicked in this one.

I would like a centre half partnership of Jones and Evans and massive dose of crossed fingers all round.

You'll win this easily. Anything less is a massive failure with your summer spend and a week off ;)

Youve got an easier week than us. Your summer spend wasnt too far off and you had already spent 300million more than us before that point.

Wonder who will have the most fans watching tonight though. The 16 city fans im moscow or chelseas home support against aome no marks in europe. Reckon it could beat the rosenberg attendence.

So how do we deal with chelseas attack?

At the moment i am leaning towards dropping herrera. Fellaini has to play simply for his height. Falcao up front with di maria and his balls is a recipe for success.

Carrick blind protecting midfield? Fellaini number 10?

    ------------------de gea
    Rafael---jones---rojo----shaw
    -----------Carrick---blind
    -----------------Fellaini
    Januzaj--chavinator--di maria

    What about that?

Or if herrera is back put him in for carrick. Poor midfield really but chelsea are a big side. Except in midfield i suppose.

    Making excuses already UIR??

You've got the best player in the world in Di Maria and the midfielder who gives Xavi nightmares in Herrera. If you don't win by 3 clear goals with at least 75% possession LVG will have some serious questions come Monday. Look at our net spend since Jan, no way we can compete.

P.S I guarantee us and City will have more fans watching us in Europe this week then will be watching United. ;)

Debatable on the fan point. Very debatable.

You joke at 3-0 and 75% possession but i wouldnt be surprised. Just at which way <laugh>

I'd be worried putting too many players in that are not match fit, although we have so many injuries that covers most of the squad!

Even though Herrera had been playing after his rib injury he was clearly not at 100% (or even 80%).

In midfield Blind and Di Maria are certainties, and Falcao up front after getting rested this past weekend due to internationals.

I can see us playing a diamond, so that means someone up top alongside Falcao, sure it will be RVP.

That leaves two midfielders, smart money would be on Herrera and Mata as they've been in the side regularly, but I hope Fellaini plays after his goal, hopefully he can bring some much needed physicality and meanness to the team. If he does play then I think Herrera will drop out, and Mata will play no10. If we drop Mata we'll lack creativity with Fellaini at no10, even though Mata has not been at his best, I'm hoping he'll produce it against his old club.

Maybe we might even see Valencia in midfield again if he's fit, if LVG wants some pace and physicality?

Only small clubs and accountants use net spend in football because the reality it doesn't matter. It means nothing.

Especially when said club has spent 200million more than any other club..... Especially then indeed...

Fellaini looked like a man with a point to prove last night. Pur best player when he came on imo.

What are you waffling on about? You said our summer spend wasn't too far off when it definitely was.

Its one player. 50million at the top level is pocket change. So the spending wasn't miles apart. Had you speny 10million you may have some ground to stand on but yiu don't.

And ffs, a chelsea fan on about spending. What has the world come too. You will be moaning about oil baron owners next.
