Why?
Thanks for the Coffee AK, In my case after being in this position last season and then going on the downward spiral I'm still not sure about getting excited. In your case maybe because of all the comings and goings of our managers it's hard to come to grips and actually realise how well we are actually doing, or your emotionally drained after last weeks Iceland's big victory.
Morning All, I think you are a bit premature Dave I think the worst of the storm is still to come but do have a good day also.

HúsavÃk and Ãxnadalsheiði is snowing still. We have -1C and 10m/s wind so feels cold. Someone has sense, from mbl.is english paper. The Icelandic naming committee recently came to a verdict on 15 different names. Icelandic law dictates that the names of babies born in Iceland must be on a recognised list of legal Icelandic names, unless one parent is foreign, if not, parents must submit the name for approval at the Icelandic Naming Committee. The committee has now accepted the names Mark, Kamal and Ãóri as legal names for boys as they fit Icelandic rules of conjugation, but Duane, Hector, Sveinnóli, Karma and Clinton were refused. Girl's names Lady and Kaia didn't meet with approval either as they are not considered to fit to the Icelandic tongue. Middle names Huxland, Fletcher and Haugeland were also not allowed.
http://home.bt.com/news/uknews/the-worlds-seventh-best-city-is-salisbury-11363938463363 Well there you go - Salisbury is apparently 7th best city in the world to visit. They may have Britain's biggest cloister but do they have a football team worth watching? Nervously expecting a response from Kev...
It's about time something like that was introduced here. Over the last few years I've encountered school rolls with some ridiculous offerings - off the top of my head I can recall six TJs, one DJ, one Chain, one Eyefel, an F, one 7 and one La-a. God knows what their parents were thinking...
I know the Government are offering more free meals but what ridiculous contents are they putting in the rolls? Irish Horse Meat (Tesco leftovers), Eye of Toad (Halloween Special) ??????????
It is strange though - with all the 'healthy food' alternatives that are made available, the most popular seems to be hot dog, which does fit your Irish Horse Meat scenario I suspect. Thankfully it is only offered once a fortnight....
There's a few Romanian kids at my nieces' school. You have to hand it to the parents - very popular names are Dennis, Eric and Aida. I thought those names were dying out Hopefully they'll bring back Len, Arthur and Edna too...
Not forgetting Sidney,Albert or Maud. My Mum had a friend called Daisy Fields, she couldn't wait to get married so she could change her surname. The man she married was called Eddie Meadows. Always be careful what you wish for.
I went to school in Edinburgh with a kid who had a Danish mother & English father - they unthinkingly chose to name him Lars Cobb. Cue much mirth when the roll was called ....
If you're a teacher with an unusual middle name, make sure the pupils never find out. When I was at Parmiter's, the head of 6th form had the middle name Dudley and every time one of my classmates who wasn't taught by him spoke to him, they tried to do an impression of Lenny Henry (luckily, the teacher in question had a sense of humour). I had to make sure that I didn't do that, as the house he was allocated to was the one I was joint captain of - talking to him like that in house meetings in front of 1st years wouldn't have been a good idea...
