Your a dad again..

Discussion in 'Sunderland' started by JoRvIk-ViNeGaR-jOe, Jul 1, 2011.

  1. Now then lads,

Thought I'd chip in with my usual Friday night break and the usual away from football thread :) Got delivered my new away top today and my one for Ella (which came with shorts and socks age 2/3) and agree with Commachio it's like EH! Turquoise anyone? Looks lovely on the little one though :) a sort of Geoffrey & Bungle must. It will grow on me no doubt, as it's Safc and that's all that matters in a way in my life.

Anyway, I'm waffling. The moral to the thread was behind Commachios great day the other day and the birth of his new little girl.

So where were you when you heard the words of 'Your gonna be a dad again'? I came out of a dreadful 2nd marriage 3 years ago and met my Lollie soon after that. We were the ultimate 'Cyber mates' for months then we met. The rest is history, Lollie got pregnant and announced to me in the Windmill pub in York by the ways of presenting me with a 'congratulations on being a dad again' card :) :emoticon-0111-blush

It was a fantastic feeling after 21 years and my Ella is a dream to have in my life now at 20 months. I'm sure Commachio my man, you will relish the dream, reality and joy these little buggars bring you & again well done my man..

So share your stories lads, the impact of the words 'daddy again' brought you throughout the years and how you moulded the loved ones into the love of Safc?

Feel free darkside to join in this as humanity and spirit is in short supply. We are the North East and whatever our different alliances, we as a family are unbeatable..

    Ha'waaaaay the laaaaaaads..

For my youngest (I am blessed with four girls) I was at RAF Brize Norton, just about to go to the pub for my last few drinks on English soil for four Months.
My phone rang. It was Mrs CyprusMackem (who was still in Cyprus at the time). "I'm pregnant" she said.
I didn't know whether to laugh or cry at the situation. Getting news like that the day before flying off to Iraq for four long long months.

By the way she is five now and supports Chelsea (Her bloody mothers fault) and Sunderland when she wants something .
Of the other three one is West Ham (A lost cause this one I'm affraid) And two Sunderland.

  4. Nice one Cyprus and I'm sure it's fresh in your head and seeing the result brings a smile or two? I remember you well on 606 from many years ago but with my many bans on there, Vinegar Joe might be the one you remember? A sound poster you were & good to see you over here :emoticon-0148-yes:

I do remember you Vinegar Joe.
We had some great lads on 606 many of who'm made the switch but we lost a few.
Sites like this help to keep me in touch as I've lived away for 22 years now.
It'll sound stupid I know but for any Mackem living away. The first sight you get of Penshaw Monument driving along the A690. Bloody love it.

Was getting ready to go out (Friday night) when without warning came " I'm pregnant" to say i was shocked would be an understaement, it was my nana talking.
Seriously tho wasnt sure if I was prepared (dont suppose we ever are) and went out and got blotto. Still in shock on Saturday and went out on 12 hour session, got blotto came home. Repeated saturday on Sunday then realised bloody hell news like this makes for a good gargle.
He's now 17, my responsibility, he's a good lad no bother and am actively encouraging him to get the snip for his 18th to ensure I have no grandchildren to babysit etc. I am quite happy to fund him for this minor procedure.

  7. Shame smug didn't make the switch Cyprus or even a 'flash' for the brilliant inventive posts he mustered up. Iv'e seen a few around and a lot of the cream came over. Would love to see bald in guelph more as that lad talked a lot of sense and seemed to be in tune with my thoughts of Safc..

flash was a star poster. Didn't he run his own business? Security or something like that.

Mind we have Cest on here. I never agree with the bloke, often come to blows but he's a damn good poster.

  9. Yeah flash ran a debt management company but he was a sort of saviour to businesses in trouble and offered them alternative ways to avoiding going bust. A great poster & total Safc Nut..

Cest is a sound lad, haven't always agreed with him but do on his latest stance with Bruce. Had my say on that also but lets give the man (Bruce) the benefit of the doubt next season. Cest speaks from the heart as I fought from the heart for the club I love. One thing about Cest I love is the way he loves the club. A total fan in everyway and a excellent, interesting poster. You weren't that bad either mate..

Ha. It's nice of you to say so mate but it's easy for me.
I trust Quinn implicitly with our club. For me he's earned it. Bruce is employed by Niall so it follows that I trust Bruce.
I never get involved with tactics and the like as I know bugger all about it compared to them that run the club.
What I do know though. We have never had a better chance to become a force in the premiership as we do now.
That alone is worth a pint or two. <ale>

I have an 11 year old from my first marriage (was playing golf when she told me, put me right off my game). I have a 2 year old from my second marriage (was IVF) and now we have found out that the Mrs is expecting twins when we thought we couldn't have anymore. I was in shock but am now over the moon. Was watching SSN when she told me. By the way I received the 2 year olds new away strip today and he looks mint in it.

Can't get in the bloody bed for the two year old. He starts of in his but somehow always manages to wake up and finds his way into our bed before I get in. At the first scan was told just the one baby but then was told twins at the next scan. Both the wife & I were stunned to say the least. The thought of 3 kids under the age of 3 is pretty daunting.

Hey, my wishes are with you mate and thanks for sharing that..:emoticon-0150-hands

I was buying bloody nappies and having sleepless nights for over a decade.

Don't want to give his name away like but after a few bevies you will notice the similarities of me of old..
