There was no booing only applause and support at the final whistle. I think that this showed what we all want from our team......Something of an obvious game plan and organisation from the coaching staff, and commitment from players on the pitch. There were obvious mistakes made by individuals that cost us dearly but we can forgive these if we have the former. Some fans criticise us for having unrealistic expectations. I disagree and believe that the vast majority of supporters only want to witness commitment from all associated with the club. If we continue the season in the same vein then we may be ok. If we revert back to previous performance levels the coaches and staff will not be forgiven.

I was just in shocked and stunned silence.
And then I answered a text message which read "you didn't leave early did you?"

There was the state of shock as well. I forgot to mention that!
I'm sure there were some out there who left 5 minutes from the end cursing our 1 nil defeat.

Personally don't believe in booing the players full stop....booing a bad performance just compounds probably low confidence levels and makes things worse next game.

It was stunned silence at their goal then applause for the effort and commitment we had seen.

They got plenty of applause from me at the end. Cut out the silly mistakes and we'll move up the league. Plenty of passion shown, let's hope we see that away from home now. Chelsea will be a big test of the team's resolve. I've written off any prospect of getting points. I just want to see a fighting performance, to make life difficult for the home team. First, there's Villa, and we MUST take 3 points...

    Agree 100% SRR.

Think what the reaction would have been if we had managed a win!

Although I felt that Phillips & Fer were bordering on woeful yesterday, I still included these two in my applause. Show us effort & a willingness to try to win a game & I will give full support in return.

If it ain't enough, then so be it. No problems with anyone or any team not being good enough.

    Crowd Reaction To The Defeat,

To quote Starwars, "I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened."

Walking out the ground was met with silence, I felt so flat & journey home was dire, watched again & still can't believe we lost it, distraught!

In the school end, we missed the last goal as 2 Liverpool interlopers in front traded Anglo-Saxon threats with a bloke behind us. The irony was - they missed their team winning they were so busy 'using the 'F' word' (my 7 year old's version of the exchange). It was aggravated by the appearance of 6 stewards who stood around asking for a quiet word (as per the bouncers handbook) and getting completely ignored by both parties. One side effect was that my sons can still claim never to have seen us lose!
