Has said he's going to talk to his teamates about them all putting hands in pockets to reinbuse Sunderland fans, what a gent.
Had a skim of some LCFC forums at the weekend, seems your Kaspar is attracting a lot negativity from your own fans with some saying he's not good enough for the Prem? Justified or is this from the ilk of fan who believe (believed) you're going to be pushing for top 7?
Kasper made a serious error in our last home game and, as he's a Leicester player and it's what Leicester fans do, he's received tremendous flack from it. I don't think the fullbacks are good enough personally. We really should have gone in for Cresswell more because he was one of the 3 targets of ours that West Ham nicked. All three of Diafra Sakho, Enner Valencia and Aaron Cresswell were linked here in the summer but all three went to Fat Sam and they're all playing really well. Typical. The trouble with Leicester is that if you're in a rut then we're the team you want to play. Burnley couldn't score for ****, so we let them have two. Newcastle couldn't win a game for ****, so we let them win it. Next up is Swansea, who haven't won in 6. Bet your bottom dollar that they'll beat us.
De Laet is alright, he looks shocking one minute and then solid the next. Overall he will improve and do well for us I think Konch is a liability in the championship. I think we have made a massive mistake not signing him someone to compete with at least
I think you'll be ok and I'd suggest that Swans away might be worth a point to you. I thought Kaspar was a player who would make the transition to the Prem well, so was surprised to see him being labelled not good enough.
It might sound like a nice gesture from Vito but where do you draw the line? Every time the players look like they can't be arsed will they refund the fans? I bet the Mackem fans would rather be paid back by seeing a bit of fighting spirit from the players.
He's been fine, just not a standout performer like he was in the Championship. But that being said, it's no surprise when you look at the fixtures we've had.
As an outsider I think Leicester City's problem stems from the tactics of the teams they are playing. All your results have come from teams that allow you to counter attack and give you space on the pitch. The teams in the bottom half all tend to play to stop you scoring and attack on the counter. As a consequence you have less space to play swift counter attacking football. Ironically you may do far better against Swansea City then you think.
It is true that this Gung-ho approach will only get you so far. We need to develop a stronger backbone and experience of the division will give us that.
The Sunderland players have just announced that they're going to refund all the fans that went to Southampton.
I agree with this. This gesture is not about helping the fans, it's about the players feeling good about themselves. It's almost like if we pay the expenses it makes it alright to play terrible. And what about the full day wasted getting there and back again? In saying that though, you cant really win cos if they didnt pay it back people would moan about that too. So the message is just try hard in the first place and it wouldnt be a problem!
Was thinking along the lines of free entry for all Sunderland fans at the next home game although I do accept pass holders will not be too pleased with that suggestion. I would imagine plenty of the none plastics would have been watching on TV somewhere.
