Just had a meal in Beverley, Paul Robinson on table next to me reckons he's signing for us.... Thoughts... If at all true?
reckon he was on a wind-up i clocked him a few years ago in beverley, probably still got family there.
Should have asked him about his wonder clearance v Croatia would have probably choked on his meatballs!
He was taking the piss when he signed for tws years ago. I hope he chokes on his food. Grade A coont.
I've seen him in Beverley a few times, the last been ladies day last year. My mate is a TWS fan and had a picture taken with him, and he told me that he'd said to Robinson that he was a big Leeds fan, to which Robinson replied 'so am i mate'. Think he'll be staying in the premiership though.
I was chosen to represent gk ahead of him after our schools football team trials!....i only lasted 6games before our p.e teacher saw the error of his ways!..but still..i like to think i kept an england keeper on the bench for 540mins!
He should still be in the England squad only possibly Hart is better. The goal against Croatia has been overdone by the press who like a scapegoat and he was it. When I was at school many years ago I was taught when you pass back to a goalkeeper you pass wide of the goal when you can. It was a shame that Garry Neville never went to my school then the goal may never have happened and one of the best goalkeepers we have would not have had to suffer the needless abuse he did from our gutter press.
He was called up to the squad after the World Cup by Fabio Capello but he then went and retired from International football, so i find it quite hard for him to be in the England Squad.....
City1904 do you think he would have retired if it was not for the treatment he received from the press and the then England manager. It does not say much for Spurs that they got rid of Robinson for Gomes.
Don't agree with the gutter press comment, I watched the game and my opinion comes from that. He's not the only England goalkeeper that I've found annoying to be fair, you can add Carson and Green to the list.
I know his cousin well just asked him on facebook get back to you when he gets back to me lol!! pretty sure he was a Man utd fan in his younger days.
He's the first choice keeper at a Premier League club and has a contract that runs to 2013, I think there's more chance we'll sign me to play in goal next season.
So far we've had guesses at Robinson being a Leeds fan and a Man United fan, yet we also know he went to Boothferry Park with his Grandad as a kid. He said on Late Kick Off that the first results he looks for are those of Hull and Leeds. What he did do, however, was ignore the question "would you be interested in signing for Hull?" - completely ignored it. Just thought I'd mention it, ladies.
