surely not, we needed 2 midfielders, a grafter and a more creative player. danns was the creative option, mckenna is a grafter. will be interesting to see if we bring in someone else though.
I would save the wage and get a Cameron Stewart style winger for the left. We have loads of midfield options now. Treacy would still be decent if he hasn't had any bids for him.
We've got Stewart & Koren to create, McKenna to hold and Evans to pass, Cairney & Harper as back-up, think we'll see less of Harper. Maybe a left-winger could be added, unless we think Devitt can mature into this role? Bullard & Olofinjana won't be part of our plans. Ghilas if fit may have to play reserves and prove himself over again.
I just heard Plan B in Hyde Park on my way home. If this topic had been posted ten minutes earlier (and I had a smart phone) I could have asked them who the Danns will be (or had my head kicked in by security for trying).
I'd go with that, in terms of central midfield we're pretty much sorted. Think Evans is a good player who will have a good season for us contrary to what Percy says. Think we'll try and add a left winger too, i wouldn't have Devitt in the first team every week, horses for courses as they say.
Judging by the answers so far to this thread people weren't paying much attention in that final third of the season. WE DON'T CREATE CHANCES. Not fair to pin all our hopes on Stewart and we need alternatives to wingers. If we don't buy a creative midfielder we will suffer the same problems next season as we did last. Thats why NP wanted Danns.
