I see it has been announced that old boy Rich Ricci has joined the throng of owners at Seven Barrows. He and his pal Michael Buckley, a long standing patron of Mr Henderson who owns such sorts as Finian’s Rainbow and the potential superstar Beat That, have bought the 4YO unraced son of Presenting, Newsworthy, and placed him with the forum’s favourite trainer. Described as a ‘forward sort’ Newsworthy should make his racecourse bow sometime next month.

The Ricci and Mr Henderson combination could become a most influential one in the next few years and I liken his purchase and placement of Newsorthy with the forum’s favourite trainer with that of a first date. If both parties enjoy success with this animal and get on who knows where it could lead!

One person who undoubtedly won’t be dancing a jig over this new association must be Willie Mullins. Cor blimey I bet he’s both Fuming and Worried with capital F’s and W’s. A capable handler he may be but as everyone in racing is aware Mullins is no Mr Henderson.

I hope they come up with some silks that are worthy of Mr Henderson's name. The current Ricci silks of pink with lime spots looks like something the cat vomited up <yikes>

Frankly, never heard of him until I looked it up, and, lo and behold, Ricci was once a fat cat banker. N.Henderson will not have to go through a debt-collecting agency with this joker.

(....and N.Henderson is no Willie Mullins either, SBC).

(P.S. Oddy, my little cat disagrees with your colour scheme of her infrequent problem).

Faugheen hell. Saw Richie at Cheltenham last year, what a dog's breakfast his attire was-city wideboy in designer tweeds and armani glasses. Most odd.

His banking career is dubious and he got a nice payoff but he has made an excellent decision and can capitalise with this venture.

I hate to sound like Sir Barneys number two (a phrase that will come back to haunt me no doubt!) but this relationship screams SYMBIOSiS,SYMBIOSIS,SYMBIOSIS.

Mr Henderson is out of this world as a trainer and you can bet a few of your earth pounds that he will be Champion Trainer this year.

It isn't a secret than Jessie H stays with Sir Nicky at Seven Barrows during the festival week.

Johhny is sadly cold in the ground but wouldn't it be wonderful if Nicky and Jessie "got it on"?

Wonderful with a capital lovely pensioners carnal knowledge.

    Anyhooo..back to the Nixon movie.

Oh dear, Dexter, et tu, Brute? But thank you for making me look-up the word Symbiosis!

(What can I do, got nowhere else to go? <laugh>. Could watch 'Carry On' movies, I guess, but I'll pass on that, prefer a good Western).

Mr Henderson, the forum’s favourite trainer, wasting absolutely no time with this NEWSWORHTY and he looks set to make his racecourse bow in a National Hunt Flat race at Worcester on Wednesday.

It will be fascinating to see if the nascent Mr Henderson/Ricci relationship gets off to a flying start. It will be Mr Henderson’s chance to impress and if he does so it wouldn’t surprise me, in the slightest, if he was bombarded with loot and nice prospects from the new owner in his ranks.

Anyone who chooses silks that look like a disturbed Mr Blobby (how is Crinkly Bottom Chuckles?) has no right to owning good NH horses. Its about time something was done about these owners bringing disrepute to the great sport.

Surely, the choosing of ones racing silks is like art and beauty very much in the eye of the beholder. One man’s ‘disturbed Mr Blobby’ is another’s exquisite splendour.

Maybe, Mr Henderson, who like my good self and the lovely Ems Spencer is amongst the most sartorial elegant on our racecourses, will be able to offer old boy Ricci some advice on choosing some impressive racing silks. It will though be interesting to see what colours Mssrs Buckly and Ricci allow Newsworthy’s saddle monkey to carry.

I am hoping the classy Mssr Buckly wins out and he goes in his trusty silks. Class is class as they say.

Some are not too keen on jump racing. Some go as far as to say that it's fcked. I of course wouldn't. But I might suggest that maybe a great, silver dildo on a background of a streaming, brown poo colour, might make for a nice set of racing colours. <laugh>

I'm sure that being a Multi-millionaire former banker that Richie Rich was always going to choose distinctive colours for his jockey silks... how else to stand out from the crowd? Look's like he's achieving the attention he desired, plus it helps that a lot of his purchases are pretty good.

Newsworthy doesn’t go to Worcester tomorrow. Next possible engagement looks to be Aintree on Sunday. Looks like the world will have to wait at least a few more days for the debut of this one.

Newsworthy has been taken out of a few races in the past week or so but has now been given an entry for a National Hunt Flat Race at Sandown Park on Saturday.

Intriguingly, he was given a favourable mention by the ‘Lambourn’ correspondent of ‘The Weekender’ last week. Not got a clue (or a 'Scooby Doo' as one of those horrific Cockney’s would say) how good he is but am certainly keenly awaiting his debut.

Calm down, Swanny, old boy. Although I do apologise for my grammatical slip up.

Newsworthy gets another positive mention in today’s ‘Weekender’. Apparently was purchased after a recommendation from old boy Gerraghty after he had ridden him in several pieces of work in Ireland. The saddle monkey was obviously very discreet about this as he was acquired for just €14,000. The ‘Lambourn’ mole says he looks a quality animal and should be ready to strike first time up.

Newsworthy, has obviously had some minor problem because after receiving plenty of entries at the back end of October and early November he hasn’t been heard about since.

However, everything would now appear tickety-boo once more and Mr Henderson has entered him for a National Hunt Flat race at Kempton Park on Friday (4.40). Am still very keenly awaiting his racecourse bow...
