Just to qualify my opinion. No, of course I wouldn't say he hasn't improved. He'd never get a game for Arsenal if he hadn't. Merely that he would have been a better player now had he stayed at Saints for a season or two longer, in my opinion.

However, I'm also basing my opinion on a club which was resident in the Championship at the time, and pretty much holding its own. In a sense I have to thank Theo for leaving because it all contributed to Saints eventually dropping to League One, nearly going out of business, being saved by Markus Liebherr's money and being orchestrated to drive up through the leagues to stand where they are now.

I really couldn't be more pleased for Theo and Alex's contribution and I certainly couldn't bear it if I woke up tomorrow to find that both players were still with Saints and we were still in the Championship. :)

The 49k stadium is a bit of a strange one, it was built at a quite unbelievable price of £25m, and our was cheap at £32m. At the time they were filling it they were high in the league, and new stadiums have a reputation for being full for a relatively brief time after construction. Others factors such, as the Sunderland area strangely at the time having zero cinemas could have boosted attendance. They are a similar sized club to us, but with a bigger yet cheaper stadium.

You should be able to get an add-on for your browser called "Flash video downloader".

Then, when you're watching the stream there'll be a downward pointing arrow at the right of your address bar. Click on the drop down box next to it and it'll allow you to save the file to your hard drive as an MP4. It only takes two or three minutes to download the 90 mins of footage. Work on YouTube, etc as well.

I think you underestimate how big Sunderland are. They are much bigger globally than us. I know we don't think of clubs like Sunderland or Villa as being that big they are..however.............

.........Using the time honoured super accurate scientific method of gauging it Saints have just under 600,000 likes on facebook while Sunderland have just under 500,000 so we are 20% bigger than Sunderland :)

Yeah, I know. I posted it up as soon as it became available yesterday. But I did warn people at the time that the second half was Crystal Palace v Chelsea, but it had been noticed by the website. By the time the HD version became available early today they hadn't sorted out the second half mess, but the HD version is 1st/2nd halves anyway.

Be aware, there are some sound sync problems with the HD version of the video too. It may be due to errors in my download, or it may be errors in the original file. I've watched the HD video all the way through and I'm going to download it again to see if the errors disappear.

    Cheers

He's wearing it like a nurses watch. He looks down and it's the right way up for him.

Sunderland's success is very much if not ancient, a very very long time ago. Their recent history (40 years) is very similar to ours.

I read she was at a training session with her husband and son a couple of days ago. Think she comes to most games...I know she was at the QPR one.

Fran made mention of Southampton's Unbelievable Journey on SKY's Sunday Supplement:

The Daily Star journo's contribution is fairly uninformed.

8th biggest according to this. lol :) can't compare us on it as we are 31st. As it a couple of years out of date up to 2011/12 (and by the fact that Liverpool is the biggest club)

Such a basic idea, but one I genuinely haven't thought of before. Interesting.
