For me, we need to start mixing the team up a bit. I was pleased to see Carroll playing from the start today...thought he did pretty well. Montero deserves a go from the beginning and maybe Jazz should get a start too. We have pretty much the same starting 11 each game and it might be no surprise there is some tiredness....even though a professional should not be struggling after 11 games. I had figured before the season started that anything less that 14-15 points at end of Oct, would be a poor start, given the fixture list. Monk and the team need to turn this around quickly. There are glimpses of what is possible but that is the problem, they are only glimpses, and there is no consistency.

A quick look shows that of the final 13 goals we scored under Laudrup - _ Newcastle to West Ham)

4 were in the first half (2 in injury time)

    9 in the second half.

tiredness????? they are professional athletes who get paid a fortune for running around for 90 minutes a week or maybe 180 minutes, a joke. that sterling at 19 claiming he is tired should be sacked

They have been tired from the off - first it was Laudrup's training, then it was 'after the break', then it was 'pre-season' after which we had 'it's early in the season' now it's 'the same players'. Lat year Laudrup was hammered for mixing the team up ... even when it was required as a result of a crippling injury list.
Looking at other age groups for the Swans shows a similar pattern.

Not beating Newcastle & Sunderland and losing to Southampton and Stoke suggests to me we are going to struggle.

Sorry but you cant win games if you cant finish and even though i want bony to succeed i dont think it's going to happen. he looks terrible and does not fit into the team. He has done absolutely nothing to justify his high wages so far and because we are playing him every game hoping he can rekindle his form from last season we are losing games we can and should be winning....the football is there the finishing is not and it's about time now that we dropped bony to the bench and try others. we cant keep losing games by the odd goal when we have had so many chances ourselves of going a couple of goals up....

Other than Chelsea and Man City who are on another level in terms of real quality (Man Utd will be the force when they sort their defensive and midfield issues) the rest of the league is very average and everyone is capable of beating each other. This is why it will be very hard to say how the league positions will end up this season. The only thing that is guaranteed for me this season is that Man City and Chelsea will finish in the top 2 and QPR are going back down :D

What's your opinion of the defensive side of our game then Dai? Bony cannot be blamed for everything. He's paid to score goals and has scored 2 goals in the last 2 games.

Yes but he's starting to find form again. Every striker goes through a barren run, but 2 from 2 suggests he's coming back into form.

yes probably aswan but not convinced in the team setup and 2 points from 5 games just does not inspire me with confidence in the manager
