He's just awful. But unfortunately probably still better than lamber and borini
Really? Borini moves and makes space for others to move in to and Lambert, when he has the ball, has fantastic link up ability with his passing. Mario always looks for the shot - regardless of where he is on the pitch.

Never wanted badontelly during summer, we returned to him and he's been an utter failure

Time to write off the 16 mil in Han and release on a free to seria b

He is useless.

Shame we didn't grab welbeck. But United would never have sold him to us at 16m anyway. Rumours that we are in for Higuain

I hated him being at City, was delighted when we finally shipped him out
Bone idle and utterly self centred, for the life of me I couldn't see why Rodgers brought him into a Liverpool side where the team ethic is everything. It was never going to be a good fit

Just posted this on the match day thread lads & it looks like you boys are thinking along the same lines:

On a side note, I thought Balotelli's whole demeanor looked off today. Walking around, shrugging his shoulders and looking like he'd rather be anywhere else. He's not fit to lace up Suarez' boots. You boys still well in with a shout of having a very good season. I'm just not sure Balotelli will be a positive part of that.

Get the feeling it was suggested to Rodgers that he do it. Plus I think even in an interview Rodgers admitted we had little alternative and were Very light in attack (now proven with sturridge out for such a long period)

Surely it wouldve been better to try sterling up top with Lallana in behind him
Small pacy players are the last thing Caulker and Dunne would have wanted?

Forgot about that one!

He get so angry watching him play for us...was never more against a player signing for us than I was for Mario, but hoped that Rodgers saw something I hadn't.

Nope.

I hope Rodgers sees he has made a mistake and takes it on the chin and replaces him in January, or we won't be challenging for champions league.

Actually I would like Rodgers to show some humility and sign a sporting director or whoever to oversee signings, as Rodgers seems a little clueless in the past few transfer markets.

Is there a returns policy? Did we keep the receipt?

I could live with the lack of goals if he were working hard and contributing to the team, setting up goals etc. Or the lack of effort if he were a goal machine that didn't need to do the hardwork to score.

But he's neither, today he was greedy and generally just ****.

What is painful to see is players like Zamora, who we would never want at our club, completely out play Balotelli and make me wish he was playing for us instead of the crap Italian.

But Rodgers doesnt have total control on transfer. We ave a transfer panel.

We cannot just go and blame it all on Rodgers. We dont really know the facts. I can imagine other members of the panel suggesting Balotelli because of his availability, CL experience and fee and Rodgers needing some persuading, and Rodgers giving in because we needed an extra striker so desperately.

I see directors of football and similar type roles causing so many problems around clubs. Spurs were ruined by one, United's is rubbish, Camolli was only trouble for us. They can fail to.

I was spitting feathers today watching mario. I was happy to give the guy a chance, clean slat and all thar, but this guy is not a footballer. He does sooo little and just does not look remotely interested. He must be amazed clubs keep wanting to buy him and pay him to wonder around a football pitch, it looks like he is on a stroll ffs!

I don't know if anyone noticed but late in the game the team ignored balotelli. After sterling turned Karl Henry balo was in a better position but sterling chose the other route ie coutinho. I even watched in shock as Gerrard bombed forward to support the attack late in the game.

Today I gave up on balotelli. Rodgers better use borini or lambert
