I am going to sound like a broken record but the reason Bardo is not at left back is because he is a right back. He did a job last season but he should be given a chance to play his best position.

He is the best right back at the club so let's play him there, it's time to buy a left back. I thought Richardson did well there until he got injured and the moved. He was terrible in CM.

it's not all about width, that's quite an old fashioned view. If the team is playing 4-4-2, yes width is vital from the two wide midfielders, but with 4-3-3 like this, we'd have a striker plus 3 or 4 players getting beyond him and we'd be dominant through the middle, rather than getting around the fullbacks and crossing the ball.

my point on width is from the full backs, I aint to bothered about right footers playing left wing and vice versa aslong as you have overlaping full backs

even 4/3/3 pal you need width

    look at the top teams

    Ashley Cole offers Chelsea width

    Dani Alves at Barcelona

    Evra at United

    I could go on

last season for the majority of the time we were using 2/3rds of the pitch like others have said teams showed us down that side as they new we had no width at all, Bardo for however well he played, majority of the time I watched him, he took a touch, knocked it onto his right foot and floated it into the oposition's half.

We have been best down our left IMO when we played Richardson at left back and Steed at left wing, we had the option to play Richardson down the line on the over lap or Richardson to take the man away on the overlap and Steed cutting in and whipping it in.

hutton and bassong for me, not sure about krancjar athunk maybe he's either up for it or going missing. these 2 and maybe 1 experienced striker for me.
Must have enough midfielders now, steed, catts, colback, larsson, gardner, meyler to come, sess wide left, ricco when he feels like it
A solid cb and rb coupled with a striker who's going to get 15+ and we'll scare a lot of people.
think whickham and dong are great signings but not necessarily will be doing it week in and out from the off.
Rememeber Alan Durban signing McCoist and saying was for player he would be in a few years, just happened that in a few years he was with the blue half of glasgow and knocking them in from all over
